Dr. Wilson is amazing! After years of seeing him for annuals and struggling with infertility, he was always very helpful and understanding. The specialist never gave me any answers or hope of ever having a baby and just keep pushing expensive treatments at me. When I was ready to give up Dr. Wilson gave me hope and got me on medication that finally worked and I was able to conceive. Throughout the entire pregnancy he remained very upbeat and helpful. I always knew that I could have questions answered by him or his lovely staff. Labor and delivery went well and not once did I doubt his knowledge and skill. Such a professional and caring Doctor!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE Dr.Wilson he is the best. I could not have had a better doctor to deliver my baby. I had ups and downs through my whole pregnancy and also had gestational diabetes which I was very emotional about and he was so understanding when I was having a hard time. He always made sure all my questions were answered and was so professional. He had personally called me when I got to the hospital to be induced to make sure everything was going good. He was they're for me through the whole delivery and made it alot more comfortable. He's truly the best Doctor, I refer everyone I know to see him. Will definitely be his patient for life!!! His staff is also AMAZING, they are so sweet and kind. Truly feel very taken care of. Thank you Dr.Wilson you are the greatest!!!

Dr. Wilson was extremely understanding and accommodating. I had a lot of questions and he was very willing to answer them in a very professional, non-judgmental manner. I was nervous to see a new doctor but after the appointment I felt so much better. I genuinely felt that he cared about my concerns; he didn't mind when I had to have him come back in the room and answer even more questions. He was patient, professional and exceptional. Thank you for being awesome!

Dr. Wilson became my OBGYN when mine retired. It was my 3rd baby so I pretty much knew what to expect. But Dr. Wilson far exceeded my expectations. I was initially nervous because he looked pretty young, but he was amazing! I felt that he was so attentive and very thorough. I even told my husband that I wish I had had him with my first baby because he was so calming. One of the techs told me that if she could have any dr she would want Dr. Wilson. She said with all of the Doctors she has worked with he is the most professional and thorough. We are self pay and his office staff was great to work with. Dr. Wilson would even tell me what tests were necessary and what things I cold do without to keep the cost down. My labor and delivery was textbook and I have recovered much faster from this labor. I'm not sure if that's because of Dr. Wilson's delivery or not but its worth noting. The nurses at the clinic are adorable and always made me feel comfortable and I actaully miss going in to see them😊 It was a great experience from beginning to end!

Dr. Wilson just delivered our baby and was very great to work with. Not only was he personable yet professional, he answered all my questions in a way I would understand. His staff was equally equipped making me feel good even though I didn't and going out of their way to get to know you. I also appreciated feeling like they were my advocate and supported my choices in how I wanted my pregnancy and delivery to go, as well as postpartum care. Another thing I really appreciated was their heightened sense of sympathy, going out of their way to get me a snack after my glucose test, and Dr. Wilson helping me know where I was as far as delivering the baby, what was happening, and questions to help me be more involved and in charge of my delivery. I would reccommend Dr. Wilson and his staff to my friends for sure!

Dr. Wilson is amazing! He placed my second IUD. The first IUD (done in Alabama) was so painful when placed and then I cramped all day long. Dr Wilson took the time to give me a shot in my hip and in my cervix (which sounds awful, but was totally painless). I had no pain on insertion or after all day long. I thought I was going to be in bed all day with cramps, but I never got the first one because he knew what he was doing. He was friendly and helpful,, always letting me know that next step in the process. He is also friendly with his staff. I work in healthcare and how a doctor treats his staff is very important to me.

I found Dr Wilson to be very compassionate and patient with me. I appreciate that as I have not always seen that from other Doctors I have seen.

His staff is great but that's about it. This doctor treated me like an idiot during my pregnancy. He didn't even tell me about the fetal kick count....I had to look it up. He didn't respect my want for a natural labor and made his doubt in my ability to deliver unmediated very apparent at every appointment. When I went into labor, I arrived at the hospital 9 cm dilated. He finally showed up 45 minutes later, even though he lived 5 minutes from the hospital. He wanted to break my water, which I asked for just a little bit more time to see if it'd break on its own. After 30 minutes, my husband asked the staff to have him break my water, only to be told he had left! He left the hospital and went home when I was 9 cm! When he finally came back 40 minutes later, he was clean shaved, and dressed in his Sunday best. This man actually planned to go to church while I was about to pop...I was absolutely livid. After he broke my water, I was ready to push in 5 minutes. I spent almost an hour pushing in a squatting position on the bed. I had no sleep and was completely exhausted. My sister overheard him saying to other staff he was going to do a c-section...I hadn't even tried pushing on my back yet, or anything else for that matter! He kept telling me that the baby was in distress and the delivery nurse had to keep correcting him, saying the baby's heart rate was fine and that was a contraction he was concerned about. I got on my back and he told me I was going to tear...he didn't even attempt to massage and stretch my perineal. He gave me an ultimatum: episiotomy or the vacuum. He didn't attempt to explain the risks of the vacuum with me and my support had to ask him to explain! If course I opted for being cut, and when he cut me, he cut a lot....more than he needed to. He was rushing....in a huge hurry to deliver my baby and get back to church. After I spent only 10 minutes pushing on my back, he hurriedly had my husband cut the cord and he PULLED OUT MY PLACENTA! He didn't even wait for me to get my baby on my breast to have a contraction and deliver the placenta myself. Well obviously I started bleeding immensely.....He stuck his whole hand into my uterus to get any remainders of the placenta....this made me scream and hurt more than the labor and delivery of my child. He didn't even stick around after the stitches...he was gone before I knew it. He was so awful and really disappointed me....I knew I should've found another doctor during my pregnancy. He only cares about himself and what's easy for him. He's by the book completely.

Dr. Matthew S. Wilson's response
Clearly I did not meet your emotional needs, which is an important part of a delivery, I agree--it was not for lack of trying. Some of these "facts," shared are inaccurate, but I do not deny having showered that day; I spent over four hours with you at the hospital on my day off. I regret that we could not connect in a way where you could trust that my intentions were only for your benefit and that of your baby.
I enjoyed getting to know you and your kind husband. I wish you every happiness in your parenting and the rest of your life.

He's okay, but I won't be going back. my blood pressure goes up around dr.s, so he thought I had consistent high blood pressure. Dr. Wilson is overly cautious, which can be a good or bad thing. He convinced me that I needed to be induced 2 weeks early telling me that my baby could be still born if I didn't. At the hospital they monitored my bp, and asked why he was inducing me because my bp was perfectly normal. I ended up needin a c section, and he did great, the scar looks great. It turned out I was allergic to something with the incision I got a rash all over the incision that spread all over my body and incredibly itchy. I called to make an apt and was told to go to instacare and get a follow up the next week, where he just told me the incision looks great, and didn't care about the rash. When I asked he said I could take benydryl. I asked if it could dry my milk supply as I had been struggling with supply, and he said "not as bad as sudafed," and ended the appointment.

I'm sorry you feel I did not spend adequate time discussing your care with you. That is not typical for me. I enjoyed getting to know you and your great family. I wish you well in your parenting and life.
