I originally had an appointment with this doctor a week before I did see her. I called to move it and they had no record of my appointment. So, I made another appointment. The receptionist at the front desk was very disorganized. Dr. Shek was very nice but I don't know is she was really listening to me. I don't feel that she really answered my questions. She told me that I needed an endoscopy and colonoscopy but she didn't do both at the same time. I have never heard of this! She sat me down with the woman who did scheduling and that was a big mess! The woman kept getting all confused about setting them up. She kept screwing up. Then I go to pay and find out that they don't take credit cards! I have never been to any doctor that did not accept credit cards!! Thank God I had some cash on me. Needless to say, I am canceling the procedures and going to a different doctor tomorrow.

She is the best doctor I have ever had. She was attentive and listened to my problems and made the time to answer all my questions. No wonder she was the doctor of the year 2003 at Blake Hosp. I send all my family and friends to her only. If only more doctors were more like her.

For a woman Doc, she was really dismissive of my pain and was not empathetic or caring at all. She totally missed things and was doing tests that I didn't even need. I didn't like her at all I would NOT recommend her at all!
