With a single exception, the staff have horrible dispositions. Darlene is the exception. Following five visits, I had to demand to see a DOCTOR. The Doctor, Marcus Button. He is a very cold man. Understandably, he would not prescribe a narcotic for my spinal-related pain. Instead, he prescribed one Rx as "has shown effectiveness" and a second one to address the stomach bleeding the first one induces. So much for "Do no harm". The only reason I stay with Button Family Practice is because of its convenient location.

There is nothing but nurses here. They may have some advanced training, but they just don't have the skills or knowledge to do any kind of accurate patient assessment. It seems like that's the way the doctor runs his practice; nurses are all you will ever see, I'm sure this gives him the most money. I went in with a severe pain in my back and stomach. This later turned out to be a life threatening GI problem that kept me in the hospital for over a week. I flew to Pueblo in a medical helicopter. The "nurse" at Button told me that I should go to physical therapy. Even set up an appointment. There was no doctor involvement or checking things at all. I think this is part of their business model. The nurse never really gave me any real attention. She had no diagnostic skill and she almost killed me through lack of knowledge and ineptitude. Physical therapy for stomach issues? That's what you get at Button. If you can't find another doctor in Canon, go to Pueblo. This practice is set up to maximize cash flow to the doctor, at least that is what my experience with Button Family Practice demonstrated to me. If you want to live stay away from Button.

Do not expect to be seen on time. Each ailment is to be a separate visit. Nurse Practitioners vary, knowledgeable but rude or caring but not as knowledgeable. Never seen the Dr. himself.

I never saw him. I as always passed on to a nurse practitioner. Each individual ailment required a separate office visit with associated copay. My impression is that he is more interested in making money than providing medical care.

Actually listens to my complaints and helps. Very compassionate. I trust Dr. Button and every one of his nurse practitioners/PA's. All the other docs in town seems to care for money only. I love Button Family Practice.

I have been a patient of Dr Buttons for 4 years; however I have not seen him in 3 years. My appointments have mostly been mostly handled by "nurse practitioners". I saw another Dr twice, but was not told of the change. One of the "practitioners" prescribed Ambien for me without ever looking at my chart. She simply asked why I wanted them. The office staff have never been helpful. They do not follow thru in passing messages or completing tasks accurately. They even charged me a $40 late fee for an appointment that I was 10 minutes early for. Of, course I then had to wait 40 minutes to see the "practitioner”. I have left this practice and will never return.

Dr. Button saw me through my very first pregnancy. He was very sympathetic to my situation. However, with a different patient of his he told her one thing, and told me something completely different. I was unhappy with that bit of advice that he gave to the other patient of his. He is a good doctor to go to, however, I like being able to see one doctor instead of seeing every other doctor there. I have chosen not to go back to him because of the problems that I have getting in to see him. Other than those problems, I do enjoy his service.

Dr Button has seen me through two pregnancies now. Let me say it this way...I would not go back if he wasn't great! He is SO caring and gives a lot of helpful advice. I really appreciated his care. I would recommend him to anyone I care about.

Dr. Button is very knowledgable but his staff and assitant are rude and I feel do not know a thing about medicine or customer service.
