I am a woman and have had no problems with Dr. Tuyp, nor have I ever felt uncomfortable with him at any time. He is very good with my small children and tries to include them as much as he can without taking away from the reason for my visit. I have never felt rushed, we just take care of business and then I'm out of there. I would definitely recommend him to others.

I see the other ratings by some people. Dr Tuyp is there to get to the problem you have. He is not there to make small talk nor spend needless time with you. He is very busy. He knows his stuff. I had been to 3 other dermatologists and could not diagnose my ailment. Right away Dr Tuyp diagnosed me and filled me in on the condition, causes, cures etc. He is not there to chat, make small talk. He gets to the point, plain and simple. I appreciate this as I do not want to make small talk either. Give me the straight goods and get me out. He is simply the best in his profession.

I was refered by an ER doctor after admitting myself to the hospital with horrible sores over my lower body.For months no one had been able to tell me what was wrong and I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Dr. Tuyp diagnosed me immediately and literally saved my life. He is a little on the cool side but that is because he is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I refer people to him all the time and travel quite a distance myself because I don't want to trust anyone else.I couldn't ask for better service.

I went there many years ago for the wart on my finger. The first was quick with liq Nitrogen & $20. The second visit was rude & he said it's hard to get rid of wart, if I want I could try the liq nitrigen again. What's the point of getting a referral to a dermatologist like him? My daughter was with me and she was scared by this guy.

I have seen Dr. Tuyp for a number of years; it started with a referral from our family doctor for a "spot" on my skin. Dr. Tuyp took immediate action. Since then I have had several more visits, some just check-ups, others for removal of more (luckily) basal cells. Yes, Dr. Tuyp is short on talk, but he is efficient, knowledgeable and I have been fully satisfied with his services. I don't go see him for a social chat, I go for medical treatment and would recommend him to anyone.

Having to take a school age child for a visit I scheduled the appt to have the least impact on learning.....having the 2nd appt after lunch seemed reasonable to assume minimal time would be involved....imagine my surprise when the patient ahead of me went in and a pharmaceutical rep arrived and was shown into the doctors office..the first patient left and we sat waiting for 15 minutes all the while hearing the 'visiting' going on with the rep & the doctor..when we were shown into the exam room and Dr. Tyup came breezing in and said how are you today I replied that my time was money just as his was and I wasn't impressed with the delay...no apology was offered...this was a number of years ago and any time a dermatoligist is needed my family will wait any length of time rather than be referred to this one

I found this doctor to be very helpful in prescribing the right medications to help my daughter with her acne problem. He is friendly and, although he does not spend much time in the room, he is thorough and knowledgeable.
