I made sure that due to my dental anxiety that Dr. Sonnen offered nitrious during fillings/crown. I discussed with her as well as her assistant during the initial exam. I discussed it with the assistant the completed my cleaning and then again with the assistant. The assistant told me that the doctor had to actually start the gas. Then Dr. Sonnen shows up with a needle in hand and informed me due to time constraints that she couldn't do the gas. That other dentists just didn't give me enough to numb my teeth completely. She then gave me a few injections for two teeth and then waited 10 minutes. Since my teeth still weren't numb she gave me a few more injections. So now because she had to prove a ponit my gums are tore up and the pain is pretty severe and I even sat through the pain during the last filling as the tooth wasn't numb completely just to get it over with and get the hell out of there. I am now stuck with her because of my insurance/financial situation. Terrible choice!

She was in her maiden name of Tomlinson when she improperly performed a root canal on me in Texas. She missed a canal that later caused and infection and incorrectly completed two canals that had to be redone by an endodontist. Her professional negligence caused me time and a very painful price. It also caused me to pay for a retreatment for her botched work and my health. When my insurance and I paid when she completed the service I never expected to be paying for one service twice, which is highway robbery to a single mom. She never referred me to a skilled professional in root canal such as an endodontist who would have provided better care for me. I am just sick about the extra money that I had to pay out for her mistake that has negatively impacted me in two ways. She knew that she was not an specialist and she should have referred me to an Endodontist. Shame on you Dr. Rosamond Elise Tomlinson Sonnen.
