I consult with Dr. Choi because my bit had changes over the years to the point where my teeth were visible misaligned. I went to several doctors who gave me exhaustive estimates on the amount of work that I would need to fix my bit. Dr. Choi examination revealed the cause of my teeth misalignment and recommended a treatment plan to fix the problem. Overall, I was glad to discover the cause of the misalignment and I'm happy with the treatment I received.

Avoid her. It's not clear she knows what she's taking about but she is going to insist on her viewpoint, right or wrong. Her guiding principle with patients seems to be: it's my way or the highway. She wanted to reconstruct my whole mouth because she didn't like my bite. It would have taken years and a great deal of money. I went to another Pros and he said it was unnecessary and I'm fine after the work he did. She seems to enjoy drama and power struggles while dominating the patient.

After breaking a molar and immediately finding myself in no pain but on a liquid diet, I sought out the NYU Faculty Practice, as I do not have a dentist in the NY area. Dr. Choi was available to see me the same day I called. She took an x-ray of the broken tooth, quickly looked at the tooth itself, and said she wouldn't be able to tell if I needed a route canal until she was already working to prepare a crown. She examined other teeth, and said the back molar on the other side also needed a route canal ands crown, without taking an x-ray of it. I was experiencing no problem whatsoever with that tooth, yet she insisted it would have to be done first, before the broken tooth. I called my dentist in California, who confirmed my suspicions about a prescription for a route canal without symptoms or x-rays. I saw him a week later, got a crown for the broken but healthy tooth, and a bill of good health for the one Dr. Choi told me was a dire emergency. Beware.
