I was forced into meeting Dr. T because of a misfortunate accident. However, I feel very blessed to have him as my Dr going into surgery and post surgery. He is not a feel good Dr. in fact, that's what I like about him. He is there to diagnose and treat. He has met all my expectations including his bed side manner. I felt extremely confident from the first visit through the surgery and will write more as the post surgery progresses. He is a DPM which in my opinion better for me that he specializes in the feet. If you research his background you will find that he is more than qualified when it comes to the lower limbs. I have nothing but good to say about Dr. Takeuchi and feel like you would be missing an amazing Dr. if you read some of these reviews. You should see for yourself and make your own judgment based on his knowledge and experience. Thank you Dr.Takeuchi and special Thank's to Dr. Moorehouse during surgery.

In February 2013, I had a bunionectomy performed by this Dr. I had waited over 15 years since having the same surgery (by a different Dr.)on the other foot and remembering the long recovery. During the surgery I could hear Dr. T talking about his favorite pizzas and restaurants. I could feel the pressure on my toe but no pain. After returning home, I had hired caregivers to take care of me for a week, so I could concentrate on following the Dr's orders to a "T." When I went in for my Dr's visit, he was a little concerned about the toe being over corrected and now pointing outward but had me put tape around 2 toes to try to bring it back in. That did not work, so he recommended that I wear dental floss around my toes indefinitely. He said sometimes Drs "bat 100" and other times do not. My toe now hangs over sandals and the gap between my toe does not allow me to wear thong shoes. Two other foot Dr's have said I need another surgery, possibly at Stanford to correct his mistake.
