Staff appears and behaves like you are in a McDonalds. Dr Walls was one of the most heartless Dr's I have met. Most orthopedists carry on with a great deal of arrogance but Dr Walls was by far the worst in 20 years. If you are a middle aged non white woman beware.

I couldn't even get an appointment with him. My former pain management Dr left all of us patients searching for a new Dr. I had my medical records faxed and emailed to this Drs office at least 6 times plus I had my family physician send her medical records and his office swore up and down my records weren't received. I don't know what's going on here but there's no way that out of 6 times they didn't receive at least 1 of those messages.

I started to make an appointment to see this guy and the staff told me “he won’t prescribe anything”. I didn’t ask for, nor want anything “prescribed”. What an arrogant practice this is. No wonder he has to spread his practice over the State of Ky. All I asked for was a CONSULTATION, and this Doctors office that passes judgement before they have met you is just scary. Has the Medical board ever looked at this very odd Doctor? All I wanted was an injection, after reading his reviews, I’m so happy he never got near me.

I was referred to Walls by my rheumatologist. I’ve worked with doctors my entire working life and never have I been treated as poorly as I was treated by him. He’s disrespectful, cuts you off when responding to a question. Just a real disdain for my even being there. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone. No matter how bad off I get, at least I’ll never be as miserable as Walls.

If you are going to be referred to this doctor, please do not get your hopes up. You will be met with a unsympathetic, rude and rushed visit. Your concerns will not be address let alone heard. During my visit, I was cut off and even talked to in a rude manner when trying to explain my symptoms. As a pain patient with a list of health issues almost as long as the alternative treatments I have tried to avoid opiods including (chirp wheel, physical therapy, injections, chiropractic care, OTC pain relievers/patches/rubs). When explaining how nauseated I was at funeral on Sunday from the tylenol and ibuprofen, I was cut off and harshly asked, "What are you asking for?" and before I could answer he blatantly stated "I am not giving you opiods!" Then went on to claim he told me in the beginning that he would not give me opiates. Which is funny considering my first visit I told them that I do NOT want drugs. He just assumed I was a "seeker." I am substance abuse counselor. He would know that if he would look away from his computer and actually give me 5 minutes of his undivided attention. I do have a list of health issues the main issues being dextro-scoliosis, levo-scoliosis, narrowed upper, mid and lower dorsals, narrowed disc(s) at C5, C6, C7, L2, L3, L4 & L5, broken collarbone that has shifted into my deformed neck and spine and my right hip being 7mm lower than my left. I also works as an operations manager and run my micro farm in Union and take care of my 4 year old daughter and between the missed work due to pain and numerous appointments between 3 specialists I need relief. But was told that because of my age (30) he would not treat me?!. I see both sides of this. As a professional, I see the influx of suicides since 2012 because of the CDC cracking down on doctors which then forced pain sufferers to the streets but as a patient, I see the blatant lack of care and compassion each individual with chronic pain must endure until they find a doctor that is willing to stand by their oath and treat their patients. I do not understand why this doctor chose this field but he has been burnt out and jaded by drug seekers and now assumes that everyone is just seeking drugs. If you have seen this doctor and have had the same result(s) contact the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure and file a grievance (complaint). There are also resources online like the National Pain Advocacy Center as well as many others! You can also find a study (through the latter) about suicides commited from lack of pain treatment and/or being cut off by a doctor. You can learn what the long term damage is to your brain by enduring chronic (untreated pain) but at the very least, do not be afraid and do not endure this alone. Together we really can make a difference.

My ESI was the most pain I've ever experienced! I mean unbelievable horrific! Instead of 10-15 minutes which I was told it lasted 30-35 minutes. He did ask me if I wanted him to stop but at that point I said no because I thought that was what was supposed to happen. Plus I literally could not stand up straight; I walked bent over fromy waste I had to bend completely forward or I couldn't walk. So there ESI did work but since then all the other ones I've received have been painless! This exact same thing happened to my aunt with Dr Walls but it did not help her at all and she was in pain several hours after the procedure. So I don't think he knows what he's doing very well.
