I saw Dr. Kern 2 or 3 times for planter fasciitis. The typical $400 rock hard insoles don't work when your feet are in that much pain, but my insurance paid for them. He only offered one useless exercise to stretch the heel. My long time chiropractor, Dr. Chris Hogan showed me and my husband how to stretch the tendons in the feet and he offered physical therapy to get at the tension in the calf to help release more pain! At my hearing for SSD the judge ignored Dr. Hogan's response to my physical (in)abilities because he was not a 'medical doctor' and put more weight on Dr. Kern's who never evaluated my physical abilities, knowing I have Lupus and severe joint challenges and said I could do things with my body that I have not been able to do in years! Now I confront him to ask where in my medical records did he get his information because the form was filled out at least 18 months after I last saw him, as I said was ONLY 2-3 times! His claim is that he only rated me on my planter fasciitis, but how does that determine whether I can reach, bend, stoop, kneel, how much weight I can lift or carry, or how long I can sit or stand each day. These are physical forms provided by the US Government Social Security Office and HE LIED... He is young and dumb... Stay away and go to Dr. Heilala!!!

I waited for over two hours past my follow up appointment time, but finally gave up and left. He has no regard for his patients' time. If this had happened just once, ok, but it happened at every appointment AND for my 8am surgery. I will never go back.

The doctor is young but was knowledgeable. Not much of a bedside manner or personality but does that really matter if he correctly diagnoses and treats? On the second appointment he was more personable and even smiled and he did fix my problem. The CMAs and X-ray techs were very nice and professional. The woman at the reception desk with the long hair was impolite and terse.
