Dr. Barry was initially friendly and helpful but then became rude and dismissive. He discharged me without any final assessment and without telling me. His office staff was also rude and dismissive.

Correct diagnosis. Clear explanation of issues. Contradictions between his indications and the physical therapist's. Unsatisfactory bedside manners.

rude! did my cast wrong...and it left nerve damage I have to this day (this was 5 years ago). He did a surgery on my dad a few years ago and left a nerve hanging out of his finger. His staff are inept and slow to respond to calls...he himself is nearly unreachable. I would not suggest him for my worst enemy!

I liked Dr. Barry a lot. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding a hand conidition. He built me a splint on the spot and a rx for painkillers. I found him to be very compassionate as well as patient, taking time to answer my questions.

Dr. Barry was generous to offer me a discounted rate for his services, but with the discount I received a very disrespectful attitude. He scoffed at me when I explained what I'd been through with my injury, and didn't give me the chance to explain what I needed from him - I felt like he just assumed I was another ignorant patient who was lucky enough to get in 5 minutes with him. You get what you pay for, I guess. He's apparently very reputable, and I'm sure he's an excellent surgeon, but his careless attitude left me not wanting to find out. I left the office feeling completely deflated, at a loss, and really disappointed. I hope this helps...
