I started my infertility journey with Dr. Walmer and really felt that he was a good, knowledgable Dr. I had a negative experience in dealing with his financial / billing women, who was less than helpful, and at times rude when is as trying to navigate a very costly, difficult decision on how to proceed with my treatment. Good doctor, but needs better support staff!

My experience in general was very good with Dr Walmer. They have an online response system that is very efective and efficient. Did an in vitro that went wrong, because my body was unresponsive, so it got cancelled at the last minute. Thats why we decided to do an IUI and got pregnant on the first try. Dr Walmer is a very knowledgeable doctor and his partner, Dr Copland is just as proffessional as he is. They both developed the IVF Program at Duke, so, although this is a relatively new clinic, its doctors are not. Ive asked for opinions and made plenty of research and its all very good. Would recommend anyone to use them on this difficult process to creating a family. Customer service was really good too! One more thing: they are the only ones in North Carolina, who are able to access Wynfertility, which can save you some money... But if something goes wrong, and have to cancel the procedure last minute, you can get really screwed!

I cannot post enough praise for Doctor Walmer and his team at Atlantic Reproductive. Other reviewers mentioned his previous role at Duke, where it seems there were some administrative issues with paperwork. Great news: he is no longer there! In my entire medical history, I have never encountered more professionalism or personal attention than I received at Atlantic Reproductive. I am 35 and had been trying to conceive for 4+ years. Dr. Walmer spent ample time with me and my husband and helped us evaluate our options. Each time I met with him, I felt he would have spent all day with us if needed. He loves his field, has an amazing track record, and he genuinely cared about our situation; I knew I could trust his recommendations. I'm happy to report that we are pregnant with a baby girl, and we cannot wait to introduce her to Dr. Walmer and the staff at Atlantic Reproductive. They made parenthood possible for us.

Good experience thus far. Dr. Walmer has been very kind and is trying to help me with a difficult medical situation. He has been nothing but kind to me. The staff is OK. They did lose (or throw away) a faxed paper that I had sent to them that they needed, but they've tried to resolve that. Dr. Walmer has been willing to help me when other doctors have not been willing to try to treat my condition. He's a Christian Doctor as well, and his leadership in and development of Family Health ministries for Haiti says a lot about his character. Ha may not always be able to reach a patients ideal and expectation regarding your personal health care issues, but he gives it his best in trying to help and figure out the problems and overcome the obstacles. I appreciate his efforts and caring attitude.

I had wonderful experience at Duke Fertility Clinic. The doctors were very knowledgable and kind. The nurses were excellent and always called me back that day of. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone.

Horrible. Duke Fertility Clinic is a joke. The staff never return calls promptly, and lost my paperwork at least 3 times. Dr. Walmer makes promises regarding treatment and doesn't follow through - then you get to deal with his fellows who act dumb and don't know what you're talking about. There's a reason why Duke's IVF program has such a terrible reputation. Run far, far away.
