I have been going to Dr. Johnson for over 12 years. No More. I am now going to have to find another dentist. I see her twice a year. She informed me that I have a very large cavity in one of my molars. so large that I must get a root canal right away. And when I inquired about why the x-rays were not taken in the previous appointments that I had that would’ve indicated this before it got so bad. She claimed my insurance didn’t cover it. Which was a Lie. The hygienist made me feel very uneasy. I have a medical condition and tilting backwards in the chair makes me extremely dizzy. The hygienist didn’t seem to care.

Okay Dentist; Can't remember previous visit nor take notes; She loves to do crowns whether you need them or not

I recently moved to Olney and thought it would be nice to find a local dentist. When I saw online, Dr Archana's reviews seemed satisfactory, so I decided to join the 3 month long waitlist. In my mind I was like - wow she must be good, and hence the long waitlist. I am a person who generally fears going to the dentist (as many can relate) and so far all the dentists I have gone to in the past, have made me feel comfortable knowing that I tend to get nervous with the procedures. Before my appointment - I was made to fill out tons of forms (more than what I would normally fill at a dental practice). Finally the day of the appointment arrived. Once I checked in, there was a dental assistant waiting with her tools to do a cleaning. I was hoping for a consultation with the Dentist first - since this is my very first visit. I needed a crown for my dental implant so wanted to discuss that. But the dental assistant said I cannot see the doctor and I "HAVE" to get cleaning done first. I was not at all prepared for the cleaning mentally and insisted that I meet the doctor. The doctor came and she was the most unfriendly person I have ever met. She scared me with the kinds of diseases that I could get if I do not get cleaning done. Instead of making me relaxed, she increased my blood pressure and stress. She also said that if I dont get cleaning done that day, then it will be considered a "missed appointment" since other patients have been waiting. What about my wait? What about the fact that I waited 3 months to go through this nightmare of an experience with this unethical practitioner who is only a leech for money. She made me pay $59 for a missed appointment claiming its part of the policy. I threw the money on that beggars face -since all she cares about is money. This lady is just a money churning machine and do not consider patients like humans. I would recommend not to go to her as she will consider you as a specimen for her practice and not really a human with issues that needs to be cured. She will scare you and never make you feel comfortable during her visit. Please save your time, money and most importantly to keep your mental peace at check.
I feel lucky to have found another Dental practice who gave me a first consultation like I expected, clarified all my doubts and ensured my dental cleaning was stress free experience.

I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. I did not return the papers prior to the appointment (but did bring them) and heard the staff talking poorly about me in the waiting room, that was filled with 2 other clients. I told them I could hear them and instead of the staff apologizing I was publicly shamed further. I work and teach in healthcare and will use this office an example of what not to do

Dr. Johnson, Tony, and staff are courteous and respectful. They make dental care, making appointments and insurance/ payments easy. I have always been very satisfied with my actual dental care (cleanings, crowns, and fillings ).

Dr. Johnson and her team are fantastic. I found her staff to be kind and patient. She did a few dental procedures for me with great outcomes. She was thorough in her explainations (of diagnosis and treatment options), fair and honest in her pricing, and provided exceptional quality of work. She also has wonderful bed side manner and demonstrated a compassion throughout my experiences with her.

I left her practice with great dissatisfaction. She replaced one crown and it rubbed a hole in my inner cheek. She was rude, impatient and rushed through my procedure.

After using this dentist for over 5 years and giving her complete faith in my family's dental care, I was shocked to be told that my dental insurance was not accepted at her practice. After finding a new dentist in the proper network both my wife and myself were stunned to find out that the crowns that she put in needed to be replaced because they were defective. After contacting Dr. Johnson to see if she guaranteed her work, she just shook her head and said "no she does not guarantee her work". At the time of service our dental insurance company had approved the crown replacement's and we were given a price for the service that was very reasonable. After the work was completed this dentist told use that our dental insurance company was out of her network. I contacted the dental insurance company today and they told me that the crowns had been approved at the time of service. We were charged 3 times the amount of the dental insurance approved estimates and were forced to pay payments over time. Now we find out after going to a different dentist that the crowns she put in are defective and will need to be replaced. I must warn everyone that reads this review to be sure that you get your estimate in writing before you have dental work done by this dentist. She was very rude about the situation after we complained about the defective crowns. The good news is that our new dentist is going to replace the crowns at a discounted rate and make sure that they are correct and not defective. Closing I must tell you if you choose to use this dentist please do so with an abundance of caution and know exactly what you will be paying for ahead of time. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone and I also find that she most certainly does not adhere to the Hippocratic oath and is a down right charlatan to say the least!

Dr. Johnson and her staff are friendly and put you right at ease. She takes her time with her patients and you never feel that she is rushing you, but yet I have never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes to see her. Her staff is helpful and understanding. Her dental hygienists do a fabulous job on my teeth and Dr. Johnson takes very good care of any issues that I have. I give her an A+!
