Dr Katz came to the hospital to tell us about my dad's liver cancer diagnosis. Immediately after he told us of the cancer and that there wasn't anything that can be done, his phone rang and he left the room and took the call. We had to remind him of what he had told us when he returned to the room. When we asked about a liver transplant possibility, he was surprised and said he didn't know and hadn't been asked that before! Really bad...no empathy or explanation at all.
