Dr. Sutherland did not keep our scheduled appointment so she could do hospital rounds instead. This was my second time at Exeter Hospital and my first appt with Dr. Sutherland. I had had a serious fainting episode at home on the stairs which caused a concussion, facial and dental injuries, and a ride to the ER. My PCP sent me to Sutherland to see if something with my heart caused the episode. To gather data, I had a two-week monitor on my heart and an echocardiogram done. Sutherland’s receptionist was succinct and cold in telling me I would not be seen by the doctor. Somehow my husband persuaded another staffer to print out my test results. They revealed damage to the left ventricle of my heart. This was a devastating realization for me at a very scary time in my life. I do not recommend Dr. Jessica Sutherland or her dismissive staff. Thank you to Exeter staffer Joseph who helped us find Sutherland’s office by walking us from Heart Health all the way to the other side of the building.
