Biography

Jonathan Davis, MD, FACC, FSCAI, practices cardiology at Pierremont Cardiology in Shreveport, Louisiana. He treats patients with heart abnormalities and cardiovascular disease. The care philosophy of Dr. Davis is patient-centered as he individualizes care for each patient from beginning to end, from testing and diagnosis, to treatment, to an improved well-being and quality of life. He educates and counsels people about treatment options that can improve their quality of life and longevity. His interests include coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, PFO and other atrial septic defect closures, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, coronary CT angiography and intravascular ultrasound. Dr. Davis is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). He keeps up with cardiology research and treatment advances as a member of American Heart Association, Louisiana Medical Society and Shreveport Medical Society. Originally from Shreveport, Dr. Davis graduated from Loyola College Prep. He began his higher education at Texas A&M University, followed by his medical education at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. His internship and internal medicine residency were at University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he became chief resident and an instructor of medicine. He specialized in cardiology with two fellowship trainings in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
