I first saw Dr. Neal Sher due to an eye condition that had re-occurred and was causing vision problems. I had become increasingly fearful. I was seeking a physician who could diagnosis the condition. Dr. Sher’s in depth and thorough examination very quickly diagnosed an extremely serious eye condition. He sprang into action with a rigorous treatment plan that began immediately and called in his staff to advise them, putting them on high alert. I felt I was in very capable hands. His manner and actions helped ease my fears and his confidence made me feel very optimistic and hopeful for a good outcome. Dr. Sher made me feel at ease during appointments and always gave me enough time for questions and to make sure that I understood what he was doing and why. He didn’t rush. He would spend time talking to me and inquiring how all aspects of the treatment were going for me. He wrote an amazing note to my employer to get accommodations for me at work so I could do my job during this difficult period. His skill, life experiences and empathy are on a level that not many physicians reach. Dr. Gary Sher is a rare breed that truly cares about his patients and not just their eyes. He is a fantastic and talented physician. I wouldn’t see any other Ophthalmologist.
