I saw Dr Patel about a long term foot pain condition. He examined my feet and said he did not know what was wrong and that he could not help me. He seemed rushed and not interested in going to any trouble to do additional checking. He suggested another foot doctor in another town. I called them and it is a 6 week waiting just for first appointment. Don't these doctors care that we are hurting now?

I met Doctor Patel when I went to his office recently. I am a regular runner, 55 yrs. old, who has run regularly for 34 yrs. When I mentioned I thought I might have had a stress fracture in my left foot, he took several x-rays. His diagnosis surprised me. Plantar fasciitis. He explained that my foot pain is due to my foot structure, that I've probably had since birth. He recommended reasonably priced orthotics and thought that would reduce/eliminate the pain. I put them in and tried to run a few miles. No pain whatsoever. I have ran several times, 4 miles a run, no pain at all. The pain is gone. Interestingly, my knees have been hurting for awhile now, I just thought that running 14,000 miles in 34 years was the cause. I was wrong. The orthotics have eliminated any pain in my knees. Doctor Patel said the pain was due to the knee having to adjust to the foot structure, which the orthotic has corrected. So, as you can imagine, I am giving Doctor Patel the highest recommendation possible.
