I made an appointment with Dr. Sommerville for the treatment of adult acne. The entire experience was poor. I was made to fill in intake forms with vast information about my cosmetic needs. The doctor and staff then ignored these forms completely, never following up with me about my skincare routine, though I wanted them to. Also, in their privacy practices, they reserve the right to give out your information for marketing purposes, which I was not ok with. I asked the staff if I could decline this option, and they just wanly assured me that they never actually give out patient information. During my visit, the doctor never examined my skin; I was wearing make-up, and she sat 5 ft. away from me. The visit lasted less than five minutes, and all of my questions were answered brusquely. I was given neither a diagnosis nor prognosis. I was, however, told that if scarring bothered me I could ask the receptionist about microdermabrasion.
