I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Ray and his staff. He has been very patient over the years and resolved my chronic headaches. His staff has also been extremely helpful to me and my family.

I had a follow up visit told to continue my medication
I received a text later saying my prescription was ready. It was for a new medication. I called the office and was told he wanted me to take the medication. I requested my medical records and it said he discussed the medication pros and cons and I agreed to take it

I brought a three page letter to Dr. Ray with a full list of my symptoms. He never read it (in fact, he must have thrown it away because it wasn't found in my chart by the nurse when I later called to follow up). After a couple minutes of him not listening to me, he decided I had sleep apnea and told me to follow up in 3 months (seems like I'm not the only one who was given the 3 month follow up plan according to another review here). He also ordered thousands of dollars worth of tests without reading my letter. It seems like he saw one word on my referral, "headache", and decided not to find out anything further. Maybe he should have asked what kind of headache at the very least? Or maybe he should have read my letter. Dr. Ray and his staff's communication skills are almost non-existent. After calling repeatedly to get some answers, he relayed to the nurse that I should go back to see my ENT if I want help with sinus and ear issues. If he would have read my letter, he would have seen that it was my ENT who referred me to him in the first place to have a neurologist address my issues since two sinus surgeries couldn't resolve things. I also have a brain tumor and he didn't even look at my MRI or address any of that. Currently trying to find a neurologist who cares outside of the Aurora network. This is my 2nd horrible experience with an Aurora neurologist.

Dr Ray wanted to put me on a medication that caused tranquilizer side effects when I was already suffering from extreme fatigue, dizziness, slurred speech, and anxiety from a concussion. He sent me home and said to follow up in 3 months. I missed over 2 months of work and he had the audacity at my follow up appointment to tell me I wouldn't have missed ANY work had I taken the medication. I asked if there was something different I could take that didn't cause such terrible side effects and he offered NO alternative treatments or medications to help me. I finally saw a different neurologist who prescribed different medication with no side effects and started me on a concussion treatment plan. Dr Ray offered no such thing. I can assure you I won't be seeing him again.
