I had lasik with Dr. Weinman in 1999, and the blade jammed in my right eye, leaving a ridge that persists to this day. I was not a good candidate. My pupils were never measured, I had dry eyes, and warped corneas from 25 years of hard contact lens wear---all contraindications, but he ignored all of that and did the surgery. I developed DLK in my right eye due to something left under the flap, but my optometrist did not know what DLK was and let it go until it ate a bunch of my cornea. Dr. Weinman did a second surgery too soon, and thoroughly screwed up my eye permanently. He should have left it alone. I sued both him and my optometrist, James Hawley, and we settled out of court just before trial. I am stuck wearing special hard contact lenses for the rest of my life now. I've had six more surgeries with experts like Robert Maloney and nothing helped. Dr. Weinman was a rookie lasik surgeon and put $$$ above making sure I was a good candidate for surgery. Forgiven but not forgotten.

Dr. Weinman's office has seen my step-dad, sister and I over the years- all for differing eye issues (laser surgery, glasses, migraines). Their equipment and staff is top notch! They saw me immediately when I had a sudden vision problem, and figured out what it was and assured me it was not serious. Dr. Weinman reminds me of a wise grandfather- it was easy discussing this issue with him.
