I just saw dr Powell for he first time and I was very impressed with his thoroughness and kindness. I am the daughter of a very prestigious doctor so I knew what needed to be done next and he said all the same things my father said. I felt he didn't leave anything out and eased my worry. His nurse was so sweet and said his patients are family so that instantly set my mind at ease. He and his nurse assured me that if I was ever in pain or there was anything to worry about they would get me in that day or the next at the latest. While I have only just started with him I have a good feel for competent doctors and he appears to be and has a great bedside manner. As far as the other review regarding his typing while you speak I felt that was a huge plus!! He can literally type everything you are saying so I had no worries that he might be missing something - and he would stop me to ask questions and get the correct timeline. Personally I place great store in patient reviews when looking for a doctor and I would definitely recommend him.

Always has time for me & I never feel rushed during our appts. Always helpful and full of advice. Always up to date with my other doctors visits and will conference them in during our visits if needed for other medical concerns. Is my favorite MD by far. Kind & courteous.

Doesn't listen very well. He seems more interested in typing on his computer when you talk to him rather than looking and speaking to his patients. I complained about hip and back pain and since he was paying attention to what he was typing into the computer than paying attention to me, he insisted I had my feet and hands X-ray. I didn't complain about my hands and feet, it was my back and hips. I'm sure he is a good doctor and maybe he just messed up with me. Oh by the way, I ended up with inflammation on my left and right SI joints and a couple bulging discs from an MRI with contrast that another doctor performed. If you read this Dr. Powell, please pay attention to your patients and have some trust on what they say.
