Biography
Dr. Brent T. Steadman is a board-certified Interventional Radiologist. He is the founder of Pittsburgh Fibroids and a member of Greater Pittsburgh Vascular Associates in Washington, Pennsylvania. He is also board certified in Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Steadman earned his MD & PhD degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Steadman went on to finish a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Steadman joined West Virginia University as an assistant professor in the department of radiology. During his tenure, Dr. Steadman treated thousands of patients using endovascular minimally invasive techniques with a concentration on advanced procedures in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease, uterine fibroid embolization, and spinal compression fractures. Dr. Steadman is passionate about the patients he treats. He believes women do not need to suffer from fibroids and do not have to have a hysterectomy. Patients with poor circulation should know that Dr. Steadman will do everything he can to prevent amputation and to improve their quality of life. Patients with compression fractures don’t have to wait and suffer. Dr. Steadman believes in fixing their fractures as soon as possible. Dr. Steadman’s passions extend beyond caring for his patients to educating physicians and other health care providers about vascular and venous disease. He has authored many publications and given numerous lectures on advanced endovascular and minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of complex vascular disorders.
