The procedure Dr. Kolansky performed on my face was more butchery than biopsy. I 've had skin biopsies before, and his work is inexcusable. Be very careful as you read reviews to pay attention to the negative ones before you decide to see him.

I was referred to Dr. Kolansky several years ago by another one of his patients. Since I have a recurring skin condition, I see the doctor quite a few times in the year.
He and his staff are kind, compassionate people. I have been very well taken care of every time I am there. His patient rapport is personable and relaxed and at the same time knowledgeable and skilled in this specific specialty, just a great dermatologist . His staff too, always sweet and friendly. Its hard enough dealing with the vagaries of life so when faced with an intimate skin issue, it’s a solace to have a friendly and competent team to turn to for real help.

Dr. Kolansky's office is absolutely great! I have gone there for multiple skin conditions, all of which have been improved or cured thanks to him.

The staff at his office are almost always on point. Whenever I walk in, they're always very inviting and recognize me, asking how I am and how the latest treatment has been working for me. It makes me feel as if they actually care, which is obviously great. My only criticism of the staff is that some of the nurses (maybe one or two) do not have the same bright, compassionate attitude as the others.

In terms of the time management at his office, it's truly a 50/50. Sometimes, you can walk in and be examined within ten minutes of arriving. Other times, you can walk in 15 minutes early and not be seen until the next hour. I mostly attribute this to how high the demand is to see him, as many patients travel far just to get a simple check-up with him.

In my opinion, Dr. Kolansky's helpfulness and knowledge as a dermatologist is unparalleled within this general location. The quick results I have seen as a result of his expertise are simply mind-blowing. The only other dermatologist who has had a such a great amount of skill in treating such a wide range of skin conditions is Dr. Amy Weschler in NYC.

Overall, amazing dermatologist. Would highly recommend to anyone facing skin issues.

Dr. Kolansky is the best dermatologist we have been to and would highly recommend him. He is extremely knowledgeable, a great diagnostician, explains everything, answers any and all questions you may have, doesn't rush through a visit and does not do unnecessary procedures. His surgical skills are probably the best I have seen. He and his staff are very professional, friendly and make you feel at ease. They make a point to follow up with you after every procedure. Couldn't ask for more.

If only I had read the reviews before I went... I went to see Dr. Kolansky to perform laser on a scar that was a result of MOH's surgery for skin cancer. I was recommend for V-Beam (pulse dye) laser by two other doctors (one plastic surgeon). I was told by Dr. Kolansky that my scar was a keloid and that V-Beam would not help it - and that V-Beam was only for vascular lesions (which this was not according to him). Later, at the end of the appointment, he contradicted himself and referred to my lesion as vascular so I was completely confused. I was shipped off with an apology that he couldn't help me, told to "just cover it up with makeup" and convinced to buy some of his expensive scar cream and some cortisone tape - both of which I read terrible reviews about when I got home.

Upset at thinking all hope was gone in getting my scar on my nose to look better, I began doing research on keloids, only to discover that one of the most common suggestions to help the appearance of keloids was V-Beam. After traveling over and hour to see Dr. Kolansky, paying for the appointment and some useless medications, I made an appointment for another laster doctor in NYC who did the V-Beam laser on my nose and called it a "no brainer" and that this laser was the proper treatment for what I had. He also told me that this was in no way a keloid and not even the step down from a keloid. He referred to it as a simple scar. I'm happy to say that I am two weeks out after V-Beam and my nose looks amazing!! Save your time and your money! Do not go to this doctor!

Dr. Kolansky and his staff treat you with care and kindness. Dr. Kolansky is very thorough and knowledgeable, not to mention very compassionate about what he does. You do not feel rushed, as he will answer all your questions and then some. They also follow up which not only doctors do. I would highly recommend Dr. Kolansky!!

I was seeing a well known dermatologist who was recommended by my primary physician for severe red rashes around my mouth. This dermatologist saw me three times and any meds she gave me did not clear it up. People were staring at me constantly and I felt horrible about myself until my friend recommended Dr Kolansky. After 5 minutes with me he said he knew what was wrong. I had a severe allergy to mint flavor and whitening agents in toothpaste and within 24 hours of using Toms of Maine fennel/a go toothpaste I was cured and my rash was completely gone. Dr Kolansky is a genius and above all a caring and kind man who is a true professional and a true gift to his patients 😃

I have been a patient of Dr. Glenn Kolansky for at least 15 years now. Dr. Kolansky was highly recommended by my primary care physician to examine the bleeding growth/lesion on the tip of my nose right above my right nostril. After an examination and a biopsy by Dr. Kolansky the growth was determined to be basal cell skin cancer. This skin cancer was the result of cumulative sun exposure. The word cancer is not something anyone wants to hear but Dr. Kolansky assured me that this was indeed treatable. At a subsequent office visit the basal cell skin cancer was surgically removed and a skin graft was performed to replace the removed tissue. Dr. Kolansky called me that evening after the surgery to see how I was feeling. Followup office visits were required to ensure that the skin graft had taken hold was healthy and to remove the stitches. Regularly scheduled skin examinations by Dr. Kolansky have shown no recurrence of basal cell skin cancer. Dr. Kolansky’s office is a pleasure to visit and the office staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I have never experienced excessively long waits for my appointments. I cannot tell you how much I respect the care and concern for my health I receive from Dr. Kolansky. I recommend him and his office most highly.

Dr. Kolansky came recommended to me. Arrived at 1:00 for a 1:15 appointment. Taken to exam room around 1:45. Dr. Kolansky came in around 2:15. I was out by 2:30. I felt rushed, didn't feel like he spent much time with me and didn't think he was very thorough as after his exam, I felt the need to point out things he hadn't noticed. If you've seen the movie Doc Hollywood with Michael J. Fox when he's working with the plastic surgeon and the surgeon pulls gloves on and off and goes from room to room within minutes like an assembly line, that's how I felt.

Dr. Kolansky is a caring, professional, I travel 45 minutes to see him. He found my melanoma and save my life.
