Go somewhere else, this hospital does not care for it's patients. My mother had a stroke and fell and had bloody bedsores due to their lack of repositioning her. I would be in her room for 6 hours, they are supposed to reposition every 2 hours and they finally repositioned her after several requests. She couldn't feed herself, I would arrive at 10 or 11 am and her food would be in her room stone cold without a spoon mark so I had to go in twice a day and feed her for weeks to ensure she didn't starve to death. I also had knee surgery, they left me propped in a recliner on my elbows for 6 hours before I came out of anesthesia. It entrapped my ulnar nerves in my elbows and several very painful operations later I am still in extreme pain. Nice going in for your knee and coming out not being able to use your hands due to pain and total numbness. Make sure they document any issues, can't even sue them bc they did not document the issues with my hands, kept telling me it out go away

Riverview medical center is the best hospital I have ever been to! Everyone there was beyond excellent! They have saved my life three times. The room I was in was absolutely breathtaking. Such a beautiful peaceful environment overlooking the water. I was well taken care of by the nurses and the doctors. Riverview hospital should be rated number one in New Jersey. I love you all you are all angels.!

Perhaps the WORST hospital in NJ. My sister was transported to the Riverside ER with excruciating back pain, unable to walk. The "treatment" that she received was pain meds. NO MRI, NO CT-Scan, etc to determine the cause of the pain & inability to walk. They put a wrist band on her indicating a fall risk. I spoke to a nurse that afternoon who asked when I was coming to get her because "they needed the bed". I asked why she was being released when she can't walk, is a fall risk, and has no one at home to provide care. Her response was "we don't admit patients for back pain". I told her that I would be there in about 2 hours, as I was in the process of getting my sister moved to a new apartment. Next thing I heard, they stuck her in a cab and just sent her home. NO medical care, NO concern for her well-being or her risk of further injury. Just "we need the bed because we're sort of busy". I would URGE the State of New Jersey Department of Health conduct a thorough investigation into Riverview's "medical" practices to ensure that this never happens to another patient.

I was a patient on the Behavioral health unit level 1 in 2015. I hated it from the first day. I tried to get out but my psychiatrist refused to transfer me to an appropriate facility. They do not treat PTSD there. My meds were discontinued and switched cold turkey upon admittance. The ward was full of alcoholics, drug addicts, and street people. The food was OK but the staff was miserable human beings. I didn't take a shower for 5 days and no one mentioned it. What a hellhole and a pit of misery for us mental patients. DON'T GO THERE!!!

From the moment you enter the filthy emergency room you are treated as a cash cow subjected to every unnecessary test imaginable so they can run up big bills on your insurance. The fact that I was having trouble breathing was of no concern to them. After waiting in a filthy cubicle for nearly 5 hours I was told I would have to be admitted overnight if I wanted to get my lung drained. And that I would need a pet scan though I had one 2 days before. I am a cancer patient and getting my lung drained is part of palliative care not a torturous hospital stay with batteries of unnecessary tests. There was a party atmosphere in the emergency room with employees talking, eating , joking loudly and the seemed oblivious to the suffering patients. The place looked like it hadn't been mopped in 5 months.

Where do I begin.....Try calling and getting any information from the Operator or otherwise 75% of the time you will be hung up on and when you call back they say it was the phone line. Happened to 4 members of family in course of 3 weeks. Try dropping items off for a patient due to no visiting for Covid and they end up in a black hole. Only saving grace is the nurses. Doctor inept and continual misinformation or changing of stories. Had no history on patients background although articulated this on ER paperwork, to Nurse and to Doctor. Very scry place if one is seriously ill.

Terrible. NUrse Manager Margaret Valentin and Valerie Rose are Evil. Purposely disallowing visitation while negligent doctors refused to care accurately for patients. They are more about "following rules" then saving peoples lives. Do not go here! They will only force you to take Chemo or COvid Vaccinnes and ignore your root cause or issues
