Took the time to explain the plan of care that he was suggesting. Listened and answered all questions.

I work with a 94-year-old woman who needs a hearing aide. Apparently someone from Advanced ENT called her (she has trouble hearing over the phone) and said something about not accepting her insurance and her appointment for the hearing aid was cancelled. This was the first we had heard that while the practice takes her insurance, the hearing aid company does not. Since my friend was not clear as to what was going on, I called and eventually, after the office staff determined that they had not called, I was repeatedly told to call the insurance company. I asked for billing since this was essentially a billing question. Billing told me the patient would have to pay for the appliance up front and then, if he/she wished, bill the insurance company for reimbursement. Since my friend is on Medicare/Medicaid, that is not an option. I called the office back to schedule another appointment with the doctor as my friend still has some major questions about inner ear problems, was put on hold for 7 minutes (the first call was only 6 minutes) and as soon as the person answered and I said I needed to make an appointment for my friend, the line went dead. I tried calling a third time, this time the waiting time was 9 minutes, and then I was put directly through to voice mail and told to leave a message; that they would get back to me ASAP. That was over half an hour ago. At this point, I think we need to change offices. The doctor was fine, the office staff apparently leaves something to be desired -- at least in the way they handled me today. If it was a phone problem, I hope they call and explain, but at this point, I'm not expecting anything.

I visited Dr. Carlson for a follow-up visit and presented him with a new issue that I felt was related to a dental visit earlier in the week. He checked my crown work, didn't see any infection- but prescribed an antibiotic to be safe. It turns out that was a good thing as I felt better immediately after taking the antibiotic and my low grade fever abated.

Dr. Carlson has been our family ENT for over 15 years. I had sinus surgery & my son had 3 sets of tubes. Dr Carlson always went above & beyond. He was reassuring & understood my fear as a parent. I wouldn't go to another ENT.

I found Dr. Carlson to be extremely calming and knowledgable...I was terrified when I had to go into his office, never having been to an ENT before... I had a very bad infection in my nose that Dr. Carlson told me was a granuloma...He reassurred me that he thought it was benign but has to send it out to be sure. Dr. Carlson called me a few days later to ask how I was feeling, if the bleeding in my nose stopped, etc. and told me that my granuloma was benign... I was really surprised that Dr. Carlson took the time to call me personally and not to have someone in his staff call me... I would recommend Dr. Carlson 100% ....He was the most caring Dr. I have ever come across.

Dr. Carlson had no bedside manner or personality at all, he seemed very bored. I went back to Miss Berman so she could explain how everything worked Miss Berman who was to fit me for the hearing aid, was fine, until I asked the cost, she asked me what did I expect. I can well afford to buy the hearing aid, I don't think it was out of the ordinary to be surprised at the cost. At this point I know I need the hearing aid, I hesitate to go to another Dr. because of the cost just to see somebody, it was a bad experience that I would not want to go through again. Had Miss Berman not made me feel cheap I would have gotten the hearing aid. Miss Berman can use a course in customer Relationship. My name is Catherine M.Raffin

Dr. Carlson performed sinus surgery on me in 2001. He is thoughtful, calm, reassuring, and most importantly an excellent doctor and surgeon. I highly recommend him.

This doctors office scheduled an in office hearing test for my daughter. Our appointment time was for 1pm the day of test at 9am we got a call telling us to bring her in now that the person wanted to go home early. I told the person I had meetings from 10 til noon that I would be there as soon as I could get there after my meeting. I left for the office as soon as my meetings were over. Arriving at the scheduled 1pm appointment time. Signing in I sat for over 15 minutes then the staff informed me that she had left for the day. She waited as long as she could leaving at 1240 they said. They never contacted me saying she was leaving or anything. And are unwilling to compansate for my time lost. Beware from what the office staff were saying this happens often.
