great experience. will be back if i ever need an ENT

Went to this Dr with symptoms of very bad ringing/fullness in both ears. She looked in my mouth and nose and told me I did not have cancer?? While that is good to know, I was not there for assurance of what it was not. It would have been nice to have her start with something minor and work up to the ruling out of the major stuff. How about start with.....I don't know, say something like....maybe the EARS??? The lady never looked in my ears. I didn't question it at the time beause I just figured since she is ONLY 3 years out of her residency, perhaps she had some cutting edge ENT ESP, and could tell my ears were good by looking up my nose and into my
throat. Maybe that is the case, but seems strange to me. Her demeanor was really unprofessional. She was almost dismissive in her responses to questions. I was not expecting to be coddled by any means, however, I, like most people, certainly appreciate a Dr who at least acts like they are listening. I have been around a little while, and have seen that some Doctors don't necessarily entertain a lot of questions. I DO understand that, and that is fine, but some explanation of possibilities for my symptoms and thoroughness in examination would more than make up for any lack of conversation. With this Dr, I had none of it. This is the FIRST time I have ever submitted a negative review fo a Dr. If I could give Dr Joseph one piece of advice (with her actually listening), it would be that while she is young and not far removed from school, don't let the title and education (which I'm sure she worked hard to earn) get in the way of the importance of Dr/Patient relationship, especially in a small community that you claim to embrace. You never know who you may leave a bad impression upon. It could be someone who truly does embrace the community and has for many years.

We were recommended to Dr. Joseph by our pediatrician for our 2 year old daughter needing tubes. Dr. Joseph was not only great with our 2 year old, but she did an excellent job at making sure I understood what was going on and what was going to happen. Her staff, from the receptionist to the nurse to the surgerical staff were all so helpful and kind.
