Dr. Waked is one of the finest doctors I've encountered in my lifetime of experience--more than 60 years. He is thoughtful, and patient, and wants you to understand the procedures he may be recommending. He has been my cardiologist for several years and has successfully conducted two surgeries to date. He is a leading expert on the use of TAVR's for valve replacements and is knowledgeable in all areas of the heart functions. I highly recommend Dr. Waked as a cardiologist who cares. I have had multiple Cardiologist since my first attack in 2009 all of which were suppose to be tops in their field. None of them however took the time to sit and listen to me and ask me questions to better understand me until a friend referred me to Dr. Waked. I had been having attacks/ chest pains which would hit at different times of the day even waking me up in the middle of the night, taking up to 4 nitroglycerin pills a day and always walking in fear of one of those attacks being the big one. All my other cardiologist said that it could be cardiac spasms or esophageal spasms, they ran all the major tests, even monitored my blood pressure while I was having an attack in the hospital which by the way showed dangerous numbers before they would give me a nitro. Dr. Waked is the only doctor who knew exactly what the problem was. He removed one of my medications completely then adjusted 2 of my other medications until the attacks/ spasms totally quit. I have not had to take not one nitroglycerin pill since Dr. Waked took over my care. I am finally attack free and my blood pressure is finally running normal. It has been 8 years, multiple doctors, lots of scary moments and it only took Dr. Waked a couple weeks to find the problem and correct it. I feel good again.

I was referred to Dr Wakes while pregnant with my third child (Imagine my fear). He was and is always pleasant and personable. He has never given me a rushed feeling that so many doctors tend to do. He is always bery thorough with his assessment and allows his patients to have input in their health care. He is very direct with his approach without a hint of rudeness ( like some Dr's I've crossed paths with). Every time I step into his office, he makes sure to ask about not just me but my family's well being too. His goal is to make sure that he keeps my heart healthy enough to be around for my family (ironically our daughters look alike). I would recommend anyone in need of a Dr who cares to see him. Dr. Waked is an Excellent physician who is easy to talk to, and friendly. He puts his patients first, and he really cares about his patients. I know because I am one of his patients.
