Upon arriving to the appointment , I proceeded to ask him some questions in relation to the the procedure, he answered my questions in the following manner, and I a very arrogant and demeaning tone "I already explained the surgery to you, if you had any questions that should have ask three days ago, and not now" as if as a patient, one is not allowed to have questions at any given time. A huge part of being a doctor, is to know how to talk to patiens, and give them some reassurance, but this guy was the total opposite.

Whole experience from top to bottom was great. He gave me all my options. I opted for small procedure no downtime. I was groggy for about 2 hrs but no pain. I was numb for about 3 hrs but my pain had resolved the next morning. I’m very thankful. I had been suffering for months. I highly recommend.

Have seen Dr. Loninger for consultations, follow-ups, or procedures on 5 occasions, all regarding ingrown toenails. In my most recent visit, he brought up an extremely negative review that he received. Since I have had such great experiences with Dr. Loninger, I'd just like to offer up my thoughts to make sure he gets a fair assessment.

Dr. Loninger did recommend that I use the IV anesthesia rather than the local anesthetic since it would make the experience less traumatic for me. However, this was not forced in any way, he just doesn't want you to fear the procedure or going to see him if any problems come up in the future. Instead of getting multiple shots in a likely inflamed and irritable toe (which is apparently very painful), you'll feel a slight pinch in your arm from the IV and the rest of the procedure will be completely painless. Personally, I was very worried getting my first ingrown toenail removed, but after Dr. Loninger's terrific work alongside a professional anesthesiologist, I booked my next appointment (different toe) without any worry. As he told me during my consultation: "I like to have my patients leave the office feeling better than when they come in". From my experience this is 100% accurate. I walked into the office at 11:00 and walked out around 12:00 and was able to go straight to work. I didn't experience any pain the day of or the days following the procedure. Just be sure to wear sneakers or a looser shoe as you will have bandages on your toe.

Highly recommend going to see Dr. Loninger if you have ingrown nails or foot issues generally. His bedside manner goes far and beyond any doctor I've ever seen and he really tries to make the experience as pleasant for the patient as he can.

Thanks!
Ryan

Dr Loninger asked me to read the below comment and give the general public my genuine experience with the same procedure.
I also had an ingrown toe nail problem but I had the procedure done.
He explain to me the problem and the procedure to fix it. He also explained that yes he always recommends sedation with a local injection of an anesthetic. He explained that this would make me more comfortable and prevent from feeling any pain. As he said I would feel as though I had a glass or two of wine and I wouldn’t have to feel any of the needles which was required to put my nail to sleep.

I hate pain and couldn’t imagine getting all those needles in my big toe. OMG.
The anesthesiologist was great and it was also explained to me by both doctors that That was the safest manner to do the procedure

I thought it was great because again I had a little procedure that I didn’t feel anything.

Dr Loninger is a very good doctor

I saw Loninger approximately two hours after my appointment time.

He insisted that resecting an ingrown toenail would require sedation, not local anesthetic despite the fact that I 1. did not want sedation, and 2. have had bad reactions to sedation in the past. The consent forms for the surgery he wanted to perform did not match the explanation he gave me orally. They also included permission for him to tape the procedure for marketing!

After I left, I discovered that although his sponsored zocdoc listing said he was in-network for my insurance that he is out-of-network.

I did not have surgery with Dr. Loninger. Terrible doctor.

My Co-worker, had surgery with Dr. Loninger, and was content with the outcome. I asked her for his number, went to a consultation and I knew right there that he was knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease and he took the time to listen and explained the surgery in detailed along with the process. I had both my feet done and I have absolutely no regrets. Dr. Loninger, is very accessible, polite, caring and helpful. I will most not definitely continue to recommend him. Thanks, to Dr. Loninger and his staff I am now HAPPY FEET!

I issues with my both ankles and discoloration in 3 of my toes. I prolong to have something done about this because I had a fear of being operated on. Dr. Loninger was amazing. He gave me great details about the issue I was having, what caused it and how to correct. He removed all the fear I had about the procedures that needed to take place by assuring me that it would not take all day, the healing factor began almost immediately and the cost would be very reasonable. Her assistant was equally amazing. She's very friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable and her bedside manner was A+. The entire staff ( Doc Loninger, Dely (his assistant, the anesthesiologist and the gentlemen who check to see if I had nerve damage, were so awesome and patient. You guys made this experience a great one. Thank you so much for helping me with this. Your names will definitely passed on for future patients.
Thanks again.
