I found a spot on my tooth while brushing and assumed it was a cavity. I called around to several dentists in the Long Island City/Greenpoint area, and Dr. Etkina was the most reasonably priced for cleaning and X-rays. She looked at my tooth and told me that it was just a result of brushing too aggressively and not a problem. She took X-rays just to confirm. I don't have insurance, and rather than charging for the X-rays or convincing me to get a cleaning, she just advised me to use a softer toothbrush and said it was a free consultation. She'll be my dentist for as long as I live in NYC.
