I've been to Dr. Kates several times and I'm disappointed. I will not go back or recommend him. The environment is rushed (another reviewer referred to the office as a meat market and that seems accurate), he comes off as disinterested and he has appeared irritated when I have asked questions about a diagnosis or treatment. He as seemed unwilling to devote the time or energy required to make sure my concerns and questions are completely addressed. Make a diagnosis, prescribe a treatment and move on to the next patient as quickly as possible with as little friction as possible. That seems to be the model for the practice. If you are looking for a doctor who is all about understanding their patients with a calm, compassionate bedside manner, look elsewhere.

Dr. Kates have been my dermatologist for the past 10 years. He is very knowledgeable, smart and funny. He is the best with medical as well as cosmetic procedures. Great surgeon! Great injector! I would recommend 100%!

Finding a physician like Dr Seth Kates is very rare. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and has answers through credible resources. I felt he truly cared about me as a patient and he is also one of the best cosmetic injectors for Botox and Juvederm that I have been to. It takes a lot for me to recommend someone unless it is deserved and I truly feel Seth Kates, MD is one of the best physicians I have been to.

Just had very nice experience with Dr. Kate's and his office. Atmosphere is nice and office staff were courteous and attentive. Had to wait a few minutes beyond time, but this is a doctors office after all. Well within reason. I had a couple of growths that needed to be looked at and he diagnosed and took care of them very quickly. He also looked at a number of other areas and determined that there were no issues. Dr. Kates had a good sense of humor and was willing to answer my questions after the initial treatment. I found him very knowledgable about all that I asked and would not hesitate for a moment to go back or recommend others to see him.

Dr. Kates is a caring physician with a great sense of humor. I have seen him for routine dermatologic care as well as cosmetic procedures. He has a great eye for making very natural corrections using botox and fillers. And he is extremely skilled with injecting. I am an anxious patient and he does a wonderful job making the experience quick and pain free. Most importantly, he always tells me when I don't need something. And I trust him because he never comes across like he is pushing high priced procedures. As a middle aged woman trying to look my best, I appreciate his honesty. I recommend him strongly!

Very late in waiting room. See assistant before seeing him. Schedule appt. for him said same thing assistant said then had to schedule another appt. with him to have procedure done. All about money and not patient

I found Dr. Kates and his staff to be very friendly and helpful. I had precancer lesions removed but I will need to wait 8-10 days to see results, but I really felt comfortable with the whole experience.

Was first treated by assistant - incorrectly. Dr. Kates called her in to tell her what she did wrong, and on her way out the door, he tapped/patted her on the leg. It was very strange. He was definitely rushing me, despite the fact that I had scheduled an appt to talk to him about my concerns. I felt completely uncomfortable there and will never go back. My primary's office "recommended" or at least told me about them, so I let them know what I experienced.
