Dr. Lindley did back surgery on me. He was very honest about what was going to be done, and answered any questions I had. My surgery was postponed for reasons being unsaid, but he got me in 2 days later on the day that worked best for my family and I. I was scheduled for surgery at 2:30 pm, but did not go into surgery until after 5. I was very agitated with the wait,and not to mention starving since I couldn't eat from 12 midnight the day before. He spoke with my family as I was in recovery, but I never saw him again for him to even check to see how I was doing, and I was in the hospital for 5 days. He did however do a wonderful job on my surgery and 2 weeks later I am seeing relief, so for that I give him 5 stars for helping with my back issues.

My husband had a massive brain hemorrhage and was followed by Dr. Lindley at the University of Iowa. We have been blessed to have someone so humble and caring come into our lives at such a troubled time. He is one of the most compassionate surgeons that we have ever met. He was open and honest. Did the best that he could do and was honest about our outcome. If it weren't for Dr. Lindley--we would have lost our family member. Be grateful to have such a wonderful person in your area, becasue we lost a wonderful man at the university. Wish we were able to see him today to show him what a great job he did! Very dismissive and unpleaseant. He seemed to be preocupied.
