I had my first operation which was a back Infusion of my L4-L5 there was metal plates and screws placed In there. Dr.Sampath knew I was scared and worried seeing having a spinal operation Is scary and was greatly to me. All the questions and worries I had he eased them and the day of my operation 2010 he came In and talked. With me and family I had my young son and before with me at the time and he was making us laugh.I cried a little cause now was the day of my operation he took my hand and looked me straight In the eyes. And said not to worry at all I was In good hands he promise his PA at the time was also a total sweetheart. When the time came I told his PA that seeing the operating room I was scared and might freak out If I was to see It.So his PA left the room came back with some meds to put Into my IV and afterwards he stood on my side. And he and I was joking around and next thing I knew out like a light I was and waking up after the operation. Dr. Sampath did two of my operation Infusion of the back In 2010 and Infusion of the neck In 2013 and now my third which Is this coming June. He's gotta do another Infusion of my back I highly would recommend Dr. Sampth you couldn't and would get any better than him. His staff members ROCKS along with his PA George I'm always busting on them wonderful personalities they all have. So If anyone who should need a good understanding and compassionate surgeon seen them to DR. SAMPATH you can't go wrong.

I had surgery on my neck in july he went in through the front after i woke up i could feel something wasn't right it felt like something was stuck in my throat, i told them that, but they said it was just swallowing, because of the hardware they placed in there,,, had x-rays and three barium swallows went to speak and swallow ,ent DR. then upper G.I who refused to go into my throat with a scope, three different hosp,s... couldn't eat too much food due to the fact it all would get stuck in my throat. 6 months later Dr. Sampath finally seen me. he said he only knew of one barium swallow. put i brang in all the results for everything . then within 2 weeks went through another surgery from the back of my neck placed rods in the back to pull the front back. ... it again haven't seen the Dr. again after surgery just his PA who doesn't know how to work a computer never mind know what she was talking about. the staff isn't very nice and trying to talk to them on phone is very hard. they hung up on me 7 times just by putting me on hold..(so said).. I said how much pain I was in, and i lose the feeling in my legs and arm .. so gave me some pain pills and so nerve meds, then in her notes wrote that i was without pain and doing very well and talked about what I can and can't do..LYE!!!!! when questions about it she said it wasn't her.. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.. STILL IN SO VERY MUCH PAIN AND HAVEN'T SEEN THE DOCTOR

Dr. Sanpath came highly recommended for my husband's second back surgery. I find him to be personable and pleasant; however, he is never one time, rushes through his office visits and doesn't fully answer questions. His PA Jorge is awesome, but Peter is awful. His staff is the worst - they are rude, unknowledgable and couldn't care less about the patients. I called the pain management line 3 days after my husband's 2/27/14 surgery - I'm still waiting for a call back. The same thing with the office manager when I left her a message - she NEVER returned my call. Having all the knowledge in the world does nothing to put a patient at ease when they are experiencing pain like my husband still has - after a double fusion which was his second surgery. I don't think he'll ever be pain free and the Dr. can't even tell him why that may be...just keeps saying to give it time. How much time really? It's been a year!

I had lower back surgery by Dr. Sampath at Roger Williams hospital this past weekend and the care i received from him and the staff at hospital was tremendous. He is fantastic and spends time answering questions and i already feel a difference. This is the doctor you want and staff you want taking care of you. Sometimes he isn't punctual but you can't expect that all the time when he sits and spends time answering questions and taking time with his clients. I would recommend him to anyone as long as they follow his instructions. Big thank you again to him and his staff.
