Dr. Lobel spoke at a Speaker Series for NAMI-National Alliance Mental Illness about Borderline Personality Disorder. He was excellent! Our members and their guests enjoyed hearing what he had to say! He also has a good book out on “When your daughter has Borderline Personality Disorder. Definitely worth checking him out.

Dr Lobel is beyond smart, compassionate, knowledgeable and kind. It has been a life-changing experience to work with someone who understands things on a deeper level and is able to guide you toward understanding yourself fully.

He charged a crazy amount of money to help me to try to diagnosis a physical medical situation I was going through-he COMPLETELY misdiagnosed me after charging $5000 and I was later told by multiple doctors his assessment was way off base-I am doing much better now but not thanks to his help!

Lobel is unethical, irresponsible. He diregards the well being of those he's hired 2 assess. In my divorce he was hired 2 guide the court in what's best 4 my kids. We had many sessions. Lobel only submits partial statements 2 court resulting in misrepresentation of the entire conversation. I told Lobel I felt I was a failure as a parent 2 my kids due 2 continuous instances in which I felt I financially disappointed them. His quote "She feels she is a failure as a parent" & "She continuously disappoints her children." I told him when my 4yr old gets extremely upset, throws tantrums I feel it's best 2 walk away & ignore the situation until he's calm. His quote "She ignores her son when he is extremely upset." My ex is an alcoholic & it's affected the safety of our kids as noted by CPS. He hasn't sought help. Lobel recommends "The children would benefit from spending more time with their father." Lobel is dangerous. I suggest he not be the examiner of choice during your proceedings.
