We literally had to wait for 2 hours before we saw the doctor. We spent a total of 3 hours in the office. Unacceptable to keep a 5 year old in an exam room with a gown on.

Dr. Leichter really knows his stuff. My daughter has a rare condition(in addition to a heart defect) that Dr. Leichter picked up on an echocardiogram. She was 3 weeks old at the time. He called her pedi and immediately wanted further testing because he was afraid she had intestinal malrotaion. My ped sent her for the wrong tests, but Dr. Leichter called me to make sure she had she upper Gi series he wanted. When he found out she had the wrong tests he worked with my ped to immediately (that day) have her tested. Dr Leichter was right, she did have malrotaion and she had surgery to repair her intestines the next day. We are thankful Dr Leichter was so knowledgable he could see the markers for this condition. And we are so thankful he followed up 1 week later. If Dr. Leichter did not follow up with us we would have thought she was okay with just the abdominal ultrasound she had and her intestines could have twisted. We are so grateful to have our beautiful, healthy 1 year old!

Very condescending, insensitive, cruel, rude, and incompetent in general medical knowledge. Thinks that all melanomas are cancerous, accuses patients of lying regarding their medical histories, and pulls the hypochondriac card. Made my daughter cry, and has no respect for the patient, accusing me and my little girl of lying about her serious gynecological condition, even after she has visited many urogynecologists and laparoscopists. Does not bother to take underlying medical conditions seriously, and makes you feel two feet tall. Very poor interpersonal skills and abhorrent bedside manner. He gives our profession a very bad name. I am absolutely appalled and my child is traumatized as a result of his merciless barraging of a child. My daughter had chest pains, and he didn't even do an EKG Instead, he dismissed our concerns. He will be hearing from the NJ Medical Board. I would not recommend him to anyone. He has no respect for the patient and bullies them with such hubris/gall. Terrible.
