Dr. Chisdak

I was referred to Dr. Chisdak by my dentist for wisdom teeth extraction.

My first impression was that the office looked very fancy, more like a spa than practice. It seemed designed to impress.

I checked in with front desk. I was told that I would be 100% responsible for payment, and that the practice does not do any insurance processing whatsoever. I was also told that the appointment would take no more than an hour…..

I was led into the practice area with six other people. It seemed like Dr. Chisdak was going to try to squeeze in as many as possible. It had many booths, and again, it gave the impression of a salon or spa. They took x rays, and discussed details. They asked when I would like to have the procedure done, which seemed to be pressuring.

And then I waited. For an hour and 10 minutes. Eventually I got up and excused myself. I explained that I had another appointment. In another booth I saw someone doing a procedure on a patient. I was asked if I would like to reschedule, and given an ‘estimate’ for the procedure (1200$). I told the staff I would get back to them.

Several weeks later, I received a solicitation call from the office, asking if I was still interested. I told them I was pursuing other options.

If Dr. Chisdak is so interested in obtaining business that he is actively soliciting, then he should be more respectful of people's time. If I missed an appointment with him I would have to pay. I don't understand why he can't be as respectful.
