Avoid this Dentist!! You might be better off trying to do the dental work yourself. He routinely operates outside of his scope of practice and training. My dental records showed a clear progression from cavity to crown to root canal, and then of course to my wallet. If you do go to him ask him why he is no longer a member of the Michigan Dental Association. He uses out dated procedures, combined with shoddy skills. I have been permanently damaged by him. Please, please, please, if you are a patient of his, find a new dentist, if you are considering him as a dentist, look else where.

Doc didn't have the right size and used a large metal thing for my first impressions. Next, I was told I would have to have impressions taken again since they used the wrong size. The assistants were students. When temporary was ready, I was happy it was nearly identical to my old pair, but permanent wouldn't fit in my mouth. Doc insisted I keep them in my mouth so he could watch me bite down on them repeatedly. There were clacking noises and it created a sore on my gums. He drilled down the denture so it would fit over my gums and he gave me fix-a-dent samples. I found I couldn't speak properly and when I ate, the goop oozed out of the front of my denture. I can't smile as food and goop stick to my front teeth. With huge buck teeth that whistle when I talk, the eyeteeth point out like fangs and it extends nearly an inch past where the old denture stopped, giving me a constant gag and my bite sucks. This guy should not have a license.

I'm not sure what the problems were of the person who commented before me, but it would seem that he has bigger issues than just his teeth. I have nothing but the highest regard for Dr. Boekeloo, and know I'm getting the highest level of care, as do my family, friends and neighbors who also see him.

This dentist performed a procedure (bite correction)which was outside his field of expertise. I had teeth breaking constantly (he never corrected the bite). Furthermore, he failed to diagnose one dead tooth in my lower front teeth and performed a failed root canal on another. I need to have another root canal performed on that tooth. Boekeloo quite the Michigan Dental Assn. on 1/11/2011 once he knew he was investigated for negligence by the MDA Peer Review Board. He also heads a company- Aleydis- which caters to senior citizens. Beware of this dentist and don't permit him to work on elderly/senior parents/citizens. He is a general practitioner who is practicing outside the scope/area of his expertise. He is presently being investigated by the State of Michigan's Bureau of Health Professions (Department within the Michigan Dept. of Community Health) and will determine the status of his license or disciplinary action after the completion of the investigation.
