I would avoid this doctor at all costs. He would only schedule an arthroscopic procedure if I agreed to waive my patient rights and allow non board certified students to operate on me. When I refused he cancelled. Also a two hour wait for each appointment to see him with no apology and no explain action.

I was a patient of Dr. Stannards for 2 years after being in a near fatal auto accident. The trauma team at UAB saved my life, & Dr Stannard saved both of my legs. Without him I would not be walking today. He is a kind, compassionate, professional doctor with unparalled knowledge of orthopedics. After approximately 9-10 reconstruction surgeries to include several attempts at manipulation, he transplanted a Tibial Pateau and Meniscus from a donor. Successful surgery, but my body absorbed the meniscus. He never gave up on me and was the best doctor/surgeon I have ever had or that a person could ask for. I was referred on for an attempt at a total knee, which was successful, but without Dr. Stannards expertise in transplanting my tibial plateau, the knee replacement would have never worked. I owe Dr. Stannard so much, but to me he was not only my surgeon but became a true friend. He genuinely cares about his patients and you are never just a number to him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Surgeon!

I have been a patient of Dr. Stannard's for over three years. Without his care I am sure I would not have my leg or probably even be alive today. He is a blessing to the medical profession and humanity in general

GREAT ORTHOPEDIC HE OPERATED ON MY SON TWO TIMES AND BOTH SURGERIES WENT VERY WELL
