I called to schedule an appointment and she said to come "tomorrow at 12." Arrived at 12 the next day and she informed me the I was not scheduled at first until 1:00. After that she then informed me that it wasn't until the following day. After having one of the worst weeks after 20 plus years of suffering depression and reaching out for help, this was such a blow. No compassion. No "I am sorry". Just I was wrong and she seemed annoyed at ME!! Very unprofessional. The issue isn't so much the appointment being scheduled incorrectly, it was the way she stood there and treated me. I would hope that no one else ever has to go thru this.

I went to Dr. Sorrow on the recommendation of two friends. Both said that it wouldn't be fun, or particularly comforting or comfortable, but that Dr. Sorrow would help me sort my life, which is what I needed. They were right on all counts. This is not a touchy-feely kind of therapist, but instead, the kind that prompts you to face reality in order to get a grip on it. I found this page b/c I need another dose of Dr. Sorrow's kind of medicine. In short--if you're ready to face what's messing you up, she's great. If you just want sympathy, get a dog. (PS there is no staff as far as I know--but I gave it a "good" rating because it's required.)

I've seen Dr. Sorrow for a better part of a year now and the impact she's had on my life is incredible. When i first met her i wasn't quite sure but after a couple of meetings i realized she was the first person to really speak honestly with me and not just view me as another "Account" as so many doctors do these days. To be honest i wasn't sure about the entire process beforehand but she made it as easy and relaxing as visiting an old friend. If you would of told me a year ago that seeing a psychologist would improve my life (and my family) as much as this i would of called you crazy, but Dr. Sorrow has certainly done wonders for me. I can see how her "No bull c***" attitude can turn some off, but let me tell you that if you're honest with yourself then her work will really make changes in your life, and that of your loved ones. Highly Recommended!!!

I had a Disability Review with Dr. Rebecca L. Sorrow. I have never experienced such unethical behavior by a Therapist/Psychologist or any other Health Professional in my memory. I spent a total of 25-30 minutes with this Doctor who had no idea of my conditions. Nor did she barely look at the medications I was on except to make a negative comment about one of the medications and stated I wasn't on one I should be which I was. That is how much she looked at a Printed out list plus didn't even take my other medications I tried to hand her I have filled at a different pharmacy due to cost. She would not let me finish a sentence. (Don't ask explanatory questions if you are not going to listen to an answer). She had no idea I was on Disability or How long. When she finally asked, she yelled then I have to GIVE YOU A TEST ! I see a Psychiatrist and have all trust in him. She rolled her eyes, Yes ! A Doctor rolled her eyes at his treatment. Poor excuse for a Review for Disability Doctor.

If you truly care about your child and care about helping your child, yourself and family as a whole she offers the help you need! As for the previous comments made about "known my child for 10 minutes and thinks she knows" it's important to look carefully at her experience and scope of knowledge of disorders, mental illness and children. Consider the amount of time she's been a psychologist, the vast experience she has with children. She does "know". THAT'S the kind of person you want to trust with your child. If you are willing to listen, learn and change... I don't believe there's anybody that she couldn't help. She has helped our entire family and impacted for the better the way we function together on a everyday basis. She has been a lifesaver for us and I'd recommend her to anybody. Thanks Dr. Sorrow!

Dr Sorrow really spent time talking with me and helping me to understand my son's mental illness. She spent much more time with me than any one else has.

A terrible experience. I found her to be very aggressive in tone and not very knowledgeable. She told me my son was not autistic because autistic children don't talk, don't communicate, and are weird kids. I was very offended by her description of autism and she obviously doesn't know what she is talking about. Two Pediatric Psychiatrist's have diagnosed my son and after spending 10 minutes with him she thinks she knows him. This was a mental exam paid for by the disability board and I will be filing a complaint.

I am an attorney who has been working with Dr Sorrow for several years. Her knowledge of paychopathology and her extensive forensic experience is invaluable. She is able to write reports in a way that anyone could understand.
