Dr Block treated (my now ex) wife who was suffering from a combination of alcoholism and substance abuse. She immediately diagnosed her with 'severe depression' and sent her to a Long Branch based psychiatrist who prescribed strong anti-depressants. This created an additional layer of over-medication and is not consistent with todays best practices for treatment. Additionally, I have since discovered 2 additional former patients who had bad experiences. Please beware and get second opinions.
