At first, I thought Dr. Hull was going to be a good fit for my daughter and her needs as my husband and I got divorced and for the time following. Years later, Dr. Hull started name calling by calling me “smother mother.” I asked my older, young adult son if that name fit me, and he busted out laughing. He replied, “ah, no!” and said Dr. Hull was “nuts.” Dr. Hull also told me sometimes I just needed to “shut up” around my now teenage daughter, She had trouble with her own daughter. I think it affected her perspective. After the “smother mother,” “shut up” appointment, I knew we were done seeing Dr. Hull.
