Dr Lerman has NO regard for her patients and is rude and condescending, she refused to give me a prescription for the contacts I have been wearing for 10+ years and insisted I wear a different brand (more expensive, convenient?) I tried them out and they were so uncomfortable I could not wear them, when I reached out and asked to please give me the prescription for my prior brand I was brushed off and she had her “manager” deliver the bad news and had no intention of even listening to my concerns. In the end I was able to get my proper prescription from 1-800 contacts but as a paying customer I could not believe her disregard for my comfort and her lack of tact. I DO NOT recommend this doctor.

Dr. Alla Lerman Scolded me from across the room while i was sitting in the waiting room. She was at her dest and I was with the other patients waiting. She began to scold me about declining the Glaucoma test, I declined it 3 times that day. she began to tell me from across the room that if a patient goes into the emergency room that they can not decline getting their blood drawn. she also told me that Glaucoma was a painless disease and I may not know if I have it. So untrue. I know that Marijuana is prescribed in certain states because the pressure of glaucoma is very painful. she told me this while I was sitting in the waiting room with other patients and she was behind her desk. I was so Shocked I was treated this way I was in disbelief. I would normally leave an establishment but I was so shocked she said the statements that she did. I wasn't sure if I should laugh or be upset. Im a cash paying customer and I choses to come here. She acted as if I didn't have a choice on where to spend my money. Never again, wow.

I would not recommend anyone go to this office. When I walked in the receptionist wouldn't even look at me. I said hello, nothing, no smile. I sat down and actually asked if she was okay. She looked at my papers and then called someone. As I was waiting she was typing for several minutes, I asked if she was typing for me and she said NO. I gathered my papers to leave but someone came over. The other staff member was kind enough but I picked out frames from the budget rack and then was told I couldn't have the budget price. I left this store feeling sad, cheated, and completely ignored. How can a receptionist be so incredibly rude?? Do NOT go here.

Great experience all around! Friendly and helpful staff; knowledgeable doctor, who took the time to explain things to me, rather than rushing me out of the office; great discounts on the frames which allowed me to be able to afford two pairs right away! As I've said it was a very pleasant experience all around. Will be back in a year for my annual check-up!

I had an eye exam with this doctor and have to say I was very pleased. She did an excellent job explaining what is going on with my eyes. She was a very thorough doctor.

Just had an eye exam this past week at the Libertyville location. I was seen by Dr. Lerman and I absolutely had a great experience with her very much appreciated how she explained everything in detail and was very specific in what I will need to protect my eyes. Also the staff was great, very friendly and very helpful when choosing glasses. I will definitely will be back to see her in my future and recommend it to my friends and family.

Dr. Lerman was so rude and harsh. She was terrible with my kids. I asked her questions about her recommendation. She was insulted I had questions. I told her we will, and I expect, to have dialogue about my son's health. She told me she will finish her monologue before she has dialogue with me...What??? My son was upset with the way she was speaking to me and also upset about how she spoke to him during the exam. She was a jerk and spoke to him so harshly and rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL!!!!! Awful experience. Her ego and bad personality get in the way of her profession. I do not trust her at all and will be paying out of pocket to have another exam for my child. She was really the worst eye doctor I have ever been to in my entire life. Just awful.

I received an eye glasses exam from the doctor and I told her that that the prescription she gave me was too strong. She smirked and smugly said she was very confident in her opinion. She told me I just had some phobia and she refused to recheck her work. Her assistant gave me the wrong information about how to wear my contacts. The doctor proves to be very unknowledgable. She argues that her medical opinion is more valuable than the other doctor in the office, who gives conflicting information. The office staff and doctor are rude and have attitudes. If you don't have insurance, the cost is reasonable, but everything else is terrible. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Alla Lerman.
