after my first appointment with Dr. Gass, i was mad. Dr. Gass called me on my S--- and after a week of reflection i realized that is what i needed. I went back for more and he was very helpful. I have recommended him to others and will gladly do so again.

I paid him $ 148.00 dollars the first 2 minutes I was in his office. That was 41/2 months from this writing. All I asked for was a receipt for it so I could submit it to my insurance company. Three month later I received a call from his office telling me they wrote the wrong med i care number on my submission. She acknowledged they cashed my check but refused to send me a receipt until she received payment from medicare. What does what does on thing have to do with the other?
I think he and his staff are con artists and wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

What a worthless quack. He should invest in psychotherapy himself to get over his little man, Napoleon anger issues. He will say you are depressed until your insurance maxes out. Don't waste your time, money it insurance resources on this money-hungry quack. Find yourself a self-help group for better results.

Dr. Gass is a deceitful therapist in that, first, he doesn't disclose that his counseling is Christian-based, with an anti-gay, white Protestant bent. Second, if you say that you're depressed, he'll suggest that you go to church (you're paying to be proselytized to), and the church that he recommends you attend is Rick Warren's Saddleback Church -- the same Rick Warren whose son took his life just a few months ago because of depression. A legitimate Christian therapist would disclose upfront, in his or her advertising, that s/he is a Christian counselor, rather than trying to 'be a Christian counselor' while simultaneously profiting from clients' ignorance of her or his religious bent. A legitimate Christian counselor would also not send someone suffering from depression to the church of a pastor whose son committed suicide because of depression. Make your therapist choices wisely, but don't include Michael Gass as a possible contender.
