Does not understand that Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid and causes hypothyroidism, and that it is an autoimmune disease first. There is more to Hashimoto's than checking the TSH level. Her is unwilling to help Hashimoto's patients the way they need help. Perhaps because he's endocrine and not an immunologist? Too bad doctors don't understand much outside their "specialty" today. Traverse City needs a doctor that understands Hashimoto's as an autoimmune disorder that affects a person's entire body and life.

Does not understand thyroid beyond the sacred TSH. If you have every hypo symptom and low hormone numbers but your TSH is low you'll get no help.

I waited 4 month for an appointment with this doctor, on the day of the appointment his staff called to cancel. Rescheduled, waited for two more months. Again, staff calls and cancels 20 minutes before the appointment. (I'd already taken time from work to go there). I contact office to reschedule yet again and was told the next available was in four months time. The staff was completely unwilling to work with me on this, no apologies.
