I wish I didn't have to give this Dentist ANY stars! I definitely agree with the patients that are not happy with him. I had a very bad infection in one of my top teeth and went to see Dr. Slatkoff about this, he said I needed a root canal, I scheduled one and Dr. Slatkoff never gave me any antibiotics' for the infection. When I went for my root canal, he broke my tooth and he had to pull it, It was the first tooth I ever had pulled since I was a child! Dr. Slatkoff had to do a graft which never worked, his temp. tooth fell out, etc., it was a nightmare!! Finally after all the money I paid him, and never got any refund, I had to go to another expensive specialist who said Dr. Slatkoff didn't do my tooth right and he would do the graft and tooth like it should have been done. This specialist was great and knew his stuff and I had no problem again with that tooth that Dr. Slatkoff messed up on.

I did not have a positive experience at Smiles by Josh dentistry. Without doing the ADA standard protocol of performing a periodontal probe to accurately assess the need for a deep cleaning, Dr. Josh came in and immediately told me I needed a deep cleaning of all my teeth. The cost would be $900, of which after insurance I would need to pay $500. He lobbied me hard to have it done right then. It didn't pass the smell test, so I declined and got a second opinion. The next dentist did a probe check of each tooth and determined only 6 of my lower teeth needed this work, not my entire mouth. The cost was $280, of which I had to pay $80. The other dentist saw no legitimate reason Dr. Josh would advocate I needed the deep cleaning of all my teeth. This is a case of upselling at its worst. Also, when my wife had her teeth cleaned by Dr. Josh's assistant, the dental hygienist asked my wife if she wanted to see how to properly brush her teeth, with no mention of an upcharge for this talk. The discussion took less than 5 minutes. When we got the bill it included a $25 charge for dental hygiene instruction! If you care about your wallet as much as your teeth, I suggest you find a different dentist.

Very homey atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door....love Dr Slatkoff!!! He's very compassionate and caring...not a pushy dentist. His staff is very professional and caring as well. I would definitely recommend this quaint office to my family and friends.

I had very bad experience with this doctor slatkoff and his secretary he is in my Cigna network and contracted with them to follow the rules and prices he sign and agreed on when comes to bill patients unfortunately he doesn’t do that he play tricks to get more money from patients and the insurance as well in my case I have Cigna dental PPO I’m supposed to pay a portion for a crown of the tooth 29 the cost of that is about $470.00 which is my responsibility and the rest will be covered by my insurance well he charge me $670.00 including lab fee which he’s not supposed to charge me that because I have PPO and when I informed CIGNA about what he did they told me he violated the rule of the contract and he need to reimburse me the $200.00 he charge me well CIGNA customers service try to call his office he doesn’t answer the phone for about 3 weeks they left messages for him he doesn’t return phone call he knows he ripped me off of $200.00 and now he’s hiding this is the truth nothing but the truth help me god
