Dr. Picha listens to your concerns. He did not assume anything until he got my MRI and X-Rays.

My experience is eerily similar to the first review, like almost exactly. They only difference is that he's insisting I have a totally different problem causing my nerve issues which is the exact opposite of what the MRI and EMG say. I've since confirmed with a different doctor so this isn't just my uneducated guess about what my test results say. Picha seems like his only interest is scheduling as many consultations and follow up visits as possible to pad his bill to the BWC.

Avoid this guy at all costs.

Saw Dr. Picha for a cervical MRI with contrast consultation that lasted less than 5 minutes. He did not review the MRI disc I had brought or the report he had received with me. He did not physically examine my neck and seemed dismissive as I tried to tell him the symptoms I was experiencing. I asked for a copy of the MRI report which he gave me (the one he had with him), and then he left the room. As I was leaving in the elevator I read the report conclusions that stated I had cervical disc herniations at three separate levels with impingement/effacing of the spinal cord. membrane. Picha never advised me of these findings and I had to take the report the next morning to my physical therapist to have it explained. Worse yet, I had seen Picha 5 months earlier to review my ER MRI without contrast which did not show the herniations at that time but despite that he told me that nothing had really changed between the two! Needless to say my PCP is sending me to see another surgeon now.

Dr. Brad Pica performed my neck surgery about 4 years ago. He performed this surgery at Mercy hospital in Youngstown. I fell the night of my surgery because no one answered my call light. I had blood leaking from my surgery onto my bed and pillows. Guess who found the bloody mess? My husband not the nurses.
I was still having severe pain. Went to see Dr. Musser and he had an MRI done. On return to Dr. Pica, he informed me that he had put the plate in crooked and a screw in the wrong place. He said he could correct it with more surgery. Guess what? Hell no! I am still in pain. I have no protective muscle to cover my spine, you can run your hand down my spine from my neck to middle of back and only skin covers my spine. I asked him about the problems that I might incur and he said nothing and that was the end of my visit. I suffer daily from pain. Please don't let him or Mercy hospital touch. I wish I would have sued him to let people know about him and the hospital.

Only saw the staff once taking my sister. Funny thing about this guy, surgery for her was late because he was LATE! St Es surgical staff said he is always late and sometimes just cancels. Is this normal behaviour for a surgeon? Maybe there is a bigger problem here. I'm sick of people like him running around duping their patients

I broke my heel in 4 places, waited well over an hour past my appointment time to be seen. After in the back the nurse cut off my splint and I sat there for about 15minutes until they realized they had my ct scans and x Rays. An assistant of Picha came in and said I did not need surgery and I waited some more. The only time I seen Dr. picha was when he walked into my room , which was also doubling as my nurses office for the day, and at that point he looked at me and said " Oh your the heel guy,you don't need surgery we are going to put another splint on you and wait 2 weeks and put you in a cast." He walked out after that wonderful explanation and my wife and I sat there some more . The nurse didn't even know she was supposed to be putting a new splint on my foot until she over heard us talking about. The nurse then starts asking me questions about what kind of splint( non weight bearing) I'm supposed to get,and at this point the only thing she is interested in is my wife's boots. But the best part is when you get his bill, charged my insurance $.900 which I have to pay $460

Had herniated/bulging discs L3-S1....waited in the waiting room for almost an hour past my visit...when Dr Picha finally saw me he gave me 2 choices but said 1 wouldn't work and had to have surgery. He said he would cut 2 slits in my back and cut off the herniation. I was in major pain, but the Dr. told me he couldnt help me until after surgery. He didn't
explain or show my MRI but said he reviewed it...also said I would never work
again which involves lifting...I felt like patient X and not a human being. I
canceled my appointment and went up to Cleveland Clinic. I was very well treated
and saw Dr Todd Francis where everything was shown/explained in detail.
I also had a smaller procedure than I would have had if I would have stayed
with Dr Picha. Glad I cancelled the
appointment! My surgery went well at
Cleveland Clinic and the staff was awesome! I highly suggest AGAINST Dr
Picha! I'm doing great now!
