Recently, I visited this man with an ankle problem that had been bothering me for many years. Before my current employment, I was in the Army for six years. I had been plagued by a bad ankle and was seeking a cortisone injection for relief. I don't know if it was because of my age, or how straight-forward I was about my condition, but upon telling him that I could not take anti-inflammatory medicine such as ibuprofen due to kidney disease, he became an interrogator. I apologize in advance for dying of KIDNEY FAILURE, but I did not expect to be grilled and treated like a druggie after sharing said information. I left the office with my jaw hanging open. It seems like every time you try to get help, you have to pass a lie detector test. With 25 years of experience, you would think that this problem has come up before. It may have been a bad day for him, but I will never be back.
