I had a microdiscectomy performed by Dr. Ramsey this morning. I can say, I’ve gotten immediate relief from the pain in my leg and my right lower back. Dr. Ramsey is a very diligent and compassionate doctor. He explained everything clearly, risks versus reward. We decided to go forward with the surgery, and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Ramsey is very talented at his art, a very good surgeon. Also, I’d like to thank the team at Baptist health for their professionalism and efforts to make me comfortable during this surgery.
I gave Dr. Ramsey five stars because he deserves them, I would’ve given him 10 stars if it was available.

Talked a lot. Didn't listen. Didn't want patient to talk. Fidgety and in a hurry.

No help at all, completely rude. Told me I needed to do yoga & meditate. Didn’t even ask me my symptoms or try to be helpful as a doctor in any way. He accused me of just wanting pills or disability when I never mentioned either one. He told me I’m inoperable, my condition is too risky to treat and live with it. I can’t believe I have to even pay for that visit

This is my first post rating a doctor. And I feel compelled to do so. Dr. Ramsey is a genius; a very skilled neurosurgeon who cares about his patients. My 40-year old husband had multiple strokes with a couple of weeks. His medical condition was grim and he had other medical conditions (unbeknownst to us) that increased his likelihood of having yet another stroke. Dr. Ramsey oversaw his care in ICU and performed high-quality care. He's not the one to beat around the bush or sugar-coat things. He gets right to the point and tells you like it is. It's needed when you're dealing with a macho-man, like my husband, facing a life or death situation. We're in a highly populated area with many surgeons, but given the care my husband has received by Dr. Ramsey, we have no intentions of going elsewhere. My husband is doing well and back to working light duty. We still have a way to go with recovery. But, we know for certain that my husband would probably not be alive and well today if another doctor treated him. We thank God for directing us to the care of Dr. Ramsey.

Dr. Ramsey operated on my husband in August for a craniectomy. Chances were very slim of my husband surviving. Thru the grace of God Dr Ramsey saved my husbands life. Fantastic, friendly surgeon!

This Doctor let my 74 year old father leave his office with a blood pressure of 215/130. He said to just call his PCP tomorrow. Dr. Ramsey's nurse also allowed this. I will report this and the outcome to both boards.

He used to be great, I would have trusted him with my life, but now he is a completely different person. I dont know if its because he is now in his own practice and feels "important" or if he just truly doesn't care about people now. If you aren't "surgical", then he wont help you - end of story. He wont listen, cut me off after 2 words every time I tried to open my mouth, he minimized what symptoms I did manage to tell him. I barely spoke because he wouldn't let me. He barely examined me at all. He "fidgeted" the entire time he was in the room BAD, he couldn't be still and refused to sit down. It was so bad, his constant fidgeting made me unable to concentrate and the constant movement made me anxious and sick. I just wanted a diagnosis so I could get the help I need elsewhere if needed, but his only focus was "you don't need surgery". I left his office in tears and with the severity of my symptoms I felt suicidal. I now have a doctor who is helping me and I have hope and am healing.
