Dr. Silverman is fantastic. She's very thoughtful, and has a no-nonsense approach that I really appreciate. I don't wan a doctor who sugar coats things, I want someone who is smart, careful, and honest about my care. Dr. Silverman provides all of that. She is a very thoughtful & caring physician. She spent so much time with me at my initial appointment, and while her default approach is conservative care, when it became clear that a conservative approach wasn't going to work for me she went above and beyond to help coordinate my ongoing care. I can't imagine any other doctor doing everything she did to help me address my back problems. My injury happened at a really bad time, I was facing a cross country move and starting a new job within weeks. Thanks to Dr. Silverman I was ultimately able to get the surgery I needed scheduled quickly and was on the road to recovery in time to start my new job on schedule.

Yes Dr. Silverman can be difficult. She will really get on you about doing your part in your rehabilitation for your injury. There have been times when I went in there and I was messed up in the head for days after my visit wondering "what was all that about?" I do think she means well, she is just like anyone and has here on and off days. SHE DOES CARE, so even if she digs into you and is less than warm and fuzzy you have to remember that SHE DOES REALLY CARE and she wants you to get better. There are a lot of doctors that don't really care. They only care about the new swimming pool they are gonna put in their house next week. There are times I love Dr. Silverman and there are times I don't like her very much, but I know she always has my best interest at heart. She is noble person and at the end of the day I respect her a lot.

Dr. Silverman is knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. She has helped me through a very difficult time and followed through to insure my rehabilitation from back surgery.

She is cold and unsympathic about your pain and she is unapproachable "difficult" to dialogue about treatments.

Physiatrist. In response to hand pain and an ulnar nerve issue, I sought treatment from Dr. Silverman after one hand surgeon refused to discuss surgery alternatives. Dr. Silverman was very thorough in conducting a physical examination as well as asking detailed questions about past medical conditions and my current physical work environment and exercise routine. I had no doubt that I had the Dr’s undivided attention and that she had my best interests in mind. Dr. Silverman strongly advised against surgery and clearly explained why. She gave me alternative ways to resolve the issue. If any surgeon makes you feel rushed to have surgery performed for a physical trauma or disability, see Dr. Silverman first!
