Biography

Dr. Suzanne Wright’s practice of pediatrics stemmed from an early love of biology and a desire to help others. After college, she taught high-school science for two years. She then went on to earn her medical degree and turned her gifts toward the care of children, ranging from infants to teenagers. A board-certified pediatrician, her work focuses largely on treating acute illness, and preventive measures such as health screenings and family education. “A big part of my role is to provide early disease detection and prevention of serious illness in children,” Dr. Wright said. She loves interacting with children and watching them grow, and said that each age brings its own challenges and delights. Dr. Wright earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Utah-Health Sciences Center. She serves as director of Marshfield Clinic’s Pediatric Residency Program, and as a clinical assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison. “I have a passion for teaching and enjoy training others to provide expert care for children” she said. Dr. Wright has one child. She enjoys dancing, travel, reading and serving on volunteer medical missions.
