I visited Dr. Boliek because I'd had redness in my lower eyelid for 90 days, but no pain or issues with my vision. At the appointment, Dr. Boliek started typing on his computer keyboard and then immediately put his finger in my eye without washing his hands. 48 hours later, my eyelid began to swell and now my eye is infected in both my lower and upper lid. It's extremely painful and I just started a new job. Looking forward to explaining to my new colleagues why I look so terrible. Thanks!

Dr. Boliek was very through and excellent bed side manner. He took the time to explain test result and he made sure I had a good understanding of the treatment plan.

My experience with Raleigh Eye Center has been nothing but professional. The staff greeted me with a very friendly and informative attitude. Dr. Bolick was not only knowledgeable but he made me feel at ease about the procedure I was to have. I would recommend him and Raleigh Eye Center to anyone who needs attention for their vision.

Dr. Boliek is certainly a competent physician, however my concern is over how this practice is managed. It's run like a sausage factory. I am always made to wait at least a half hour to see the tech and then another half hour to see the doctor. I always arrive at least 10 min. earlier for my appoitment as a courtesy. The appointment scheduling is unprofessional. The staff has their heads in computers and the technicians bearly greet you with a good morning. I've seen better customer interaction at the Motor Vehichle Bureau. I've been seeing various doctors at this practice for at least 10 years but I've had enough and will find another practice.

I have had mixed experiences with Dr. Boliek and his staff. A number of years ago, I had a couple of occasions, on the phone and in person, in which the staff was impatient, rude, and condescending. My first couple of experiences with Dr. Boliek were good, as well as the outcomes of the prescriptions he made for my eyeglasses. My most recent experiences were less than satisfying, however; the prescription he gave me was way off target, and I couldn't see nearly as well as I could before. When I returned for an adjustment, his attitude was very abrupt and impatient with me, as I asked him questions concerning my eye condition, prescription, etc. I later heard that his office is so packed with appointments that his time(and, I assume, all the other doctors there as well) is so tightly managed that he has very little time with each patient, so the problem may not be Dr. Boliek himself personally, but a result of poor scheduling and management by the owners.

Dr. Boliek is a wonderful doctor. He is knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, friendly, he and his assistants takes all the time necessary to give wonderful service. I have Medicare with a Medigap plan an paid nothing for his services.I did pay for my glasses and will have to say I could have gotten them a bit ceaper in a Walmart,etc., but the sevice and follow-up made it well worthwhile.I would give him as good a rating as possible. I do not do this lightly, for he was recommended to me by a surgeon friend. This was after I had a terrible experience with another MD eye doctor who I should have filed a malpractice against... and still may.
